  • Hi lucid, I can't seem to fix my pivot point problem. I just downloaded the newest scml plugin, updated the plugin files in the Construct plugins scml folder, but the sprites of my character are still weirdly rotated.

    I did try again, downloaded the plugin, reinstalled, and saved my Spriter scml/scon files including a new spritesheet png. But this didn't help.

    Running Spriter release 9, the lastest Construct version and the plugin in dates from 11/2 in the Construct folder. Not sure what's happening here

  • lucid I'm currently also facing the greyed out 'OK' button when I want to save my spritesheet in Spriter at the moment. I'll try the suggestions you mentioned and will report back

    Yep, it had to do with exceeding the max size of the spritesheet. I created a resized Spriter project and tried again, it worked!

    Nothing specific, sadly. I've been very busy, but I'll make sure the free update will be out in the coming weeks.

    I am aware of the fact that it's long overdue, but my life is a bit (too) hectic and unfortunately I have to postpone a lot of stuff including this.

  • I also had a lot of random crashes. Until now I can't pinpoint a particular reason, seems different every time it happens. I had some crashes when I pasted some sprites from one project to another, also when closing the Editor after changing the original size of a sprite.

    Usually C2 rarely crashes in my experience, but I'll follow your lead by going back a version because I really need to get something done and the crashing/manic "save all the time" is getting a bit frustrating.

  • Looks great, nice colors and lighting. I know a few devs here have had some trouble porting their games to WiiU. Im happy to hear its working out for you, Its a dream to make a game for a Nintendo console, keep up the good work!

    Thank you very much! I think it works because I'm building it from the ground up exclusively for Wii U. Developing for PC is something else, consoles have limited capacity so it's definitely trial and error. I'm not done yet, but up till this point it all works better than expected

    Making a game for a Nintendo console has always been my dream, it's amazing, and crazy, that I'm living it this soon.

  • So at the moment I have the enemy events set up correctly to make the player loose health. Though I was wondering how I would make the enemies move towards the player using 8Direction movement?

    Would I set actions "angle toward (player.x, player.y)" and "Set 8Direction speed to 80" to an "enemy is on layer 1" event? I tried this, it did work although every time I was going towards the enemies they were going backwards and sliding across the level but always looking at the player (Or more specific they were sliding the direction I was walking). I have the settings setup so the screen follows the player. Thank you!

    Just wondering.. Could it be that the 8-direction's controls are set to default, meaning that if you use the arrow keys to move the player, the enemies also move that way because they are controlled by those inputs as well?

  • Hi folks!

    It has been very quiet over here, but all for good reasons.. In 2014 I started working on other projects but found my way back to Mars Harpoon quickly. The game has been in development ever since in all kinds of shapes and forms.

    But now, finally, the time has come that I'm confident about what it will be when it's done, and how things will go from here until it releases on Wii U.

    Mars Harpoon is not done yet, things will change, but nonetheless here's the first screenshot

    Currently I'm working on a press kit, including a trailer, so that will be up soon. Check my twitter and/or website for more news and updates in the future.
