  • For the record, we want to do both: an easy-to-use tool for beginners, and also a capable tool to build and publish a full game. So we need both features that help absolute beginners get started (like guided tours), and help advanced users go further (like JavaScript coding).

    this is missing an important part:

    advanced features for advanced games.

    also if you're forcing JS as advanced, what about those that don't want to do JS?

    so what you are saying is...

    no more behaviors, no more plugins, no more effects, that do different things,

    just some plugins to enhance monetization because you don't have time for it, or because you think that other engines encapsulate completely and do not allow users to create addons that 'change the engine' itself. but as much as i know, people only used things that were not hidden to get some plugin or behavior functionality instead of using some form of API that's well encapsulated and hidden.

    so i guess.. you'll add big API in SDKv2 to allow people to create new types of behaviors / plugins or restrict it fully to be only able to make monetization type of plugins?

    are you a game developer or engine tester?

    if you're a game developer, don't 'care' for the future of engine, develop games, work on them, release them, earn money, go to next project.

    if you're an engine tester, great, test it while it's available, when it's not test some other engine.

    how simple ! also save your files locally.

    i can confirm these things happening, like the author mentioned.

    i've been good with r265, since 266 shit goes bad, i've noticed mostly the problem when adding animations and loading images into it etc..

    i've noticed that 266 had some double click sprite fixes, that might be the problem.

    also, from 268 upwards i get random crashes from working, could be the problem with UI libs you've updated in 268.

    my pc is a laptop with 980m, 8gb ram, i7 4860hq 4/8 3,6ghz, 1 tb hdd and 0.5tb ssd samsung.

    pure installation of win1903 version win 10, with latest drivers from intel to nvidia & realtek music.

    the problem existed prior to new drivers, so yeah.. no idea what's with that r269

  • yeah, it's actually pretty easy to do cordova. i was intimidated myself, but in reality it's nothing special.

    the thing is, it gives you full control on whatever you want to do with your export from c2/c3 (the www folder and config.xml)

    are these fixes going to see the light in Construct 2?

    Some of us still use it while it's supported, before we go C3, but fixing these issues (so we can deploy on Apple store) is of most relevance! I can't deploy a game that's bugged out on Iphone X.

  • Hi guys,

    i've posted a new tutorial about how you can set up your own environment and with a few commands build any game for any platform.

    The tutorial covers that for now (setting up the CLI and building your game), but i will expand it with some additional stuff like signing and aligning APKs, playing around with config files, adding plugins, etc..

    The tutorial is pretty big so I've put it in a zip as a download on the page (inside zip is a PDF file which is a tutorial).

  • True, but they don't have to do the same thing, and have the same name. That might be used as a feature, but also misused.

    In terms of debugging it would be easier to find out that you have a duplicate, and those who want both to run will pick any anyway.
