  • Ashley: Awesome news!

  • If it's too complicated and risky to implement in C2 directly, a separate application should do the trick. 3rd party plugins include certain parameters for the app to be able to find and update them properly. I have seen this done like this on other software and I think it worked nicely. It was easy, fast and you never missed a newer version and no need to waste hours looking through the plugins to just update them.

  • Gamezilla copy and paste is different than cloning. A copy is the same object, same logic. Any changes to a copy would affect all copies. A clone can look and feel like a copy, but you can make changes to the clone without affecting the original.

  • I have a backup but it I made a lot of optimisation changes that are all lost. The backup opens, the other projects open, it just seems this one has become corrupt or something.

To my knowledge, C2 makes backups at fixed intervals that you can specify in the app.'s preferences. So yer back up might not have lost too much.

  • Can you post the image or .capx?

  • I dunno what's wrong, but don't you have a back up file? Does any other project open?

  • You definitely can. Though you will not have all the RPG related features of RPG Maker, you'll have to make most of it manually. But it shouldn't really be too much trouble once you get the hand of it. C2 is versatile.

  • A program like C2 can never be as good as pure programming skills. C2 is a tool for creating little games, not triple A titles. So far there are only little "mini games" made with C2 out there. No games, which you could sell for 30$ or more.

    Obvious troll.

  • Nope!

  • This kit looks amazing. I hope it gets a official C2 wrapper. It beats Awesomium, no reason not to. Thanks guys!

That leaves only one question. Does anybody know how to get music properly looped on C2?

  • Bump

  • Just now, I exported to Awesomium and to my surprise, there was no sound. I read other topics on this and only got one answer "I installed windows again", that's just crazy. Does anyone else know why this happens? There's sound when I export to everything else, just not .exe...

Also, why does my music not loop correctly? It's like there's a really short stop/click when it loops on C2. It's really distracting. I read that OGG inserts this click thingy by default and also read to use WAV... If I used WAV, my game would be unnecessarily HUGE, it is really not a good work around at all.

Here's a song that loops 100% perfect on sound editors like Sound Forge, Audacity, etc. also works the same on the RPG Makers, but not on C2. When I render my music, I render it specifically for looping. If that click/stop is an OGG feature, why don't I hear this on those programs? How do you guys get C2 to loop yer music?

    Thanks!

  • Interesting idea.

  • Thanks everyone for the help. I found a plugin which seems to work perfectly so far. newt's excellent example does pretty much the same as the plugin. Thank you all.
