  • I have read quite a bit on how to use this command, but it is not having the effect I expected... On other software I used, using newline would automatically make a new line of text each time the command was triggered. Right now this is not the case. Yes, I am probably missing something or doing it wrong...

    What I am trying to do here is adding the content of a text object (a one-line string) to another text object and start a new line each time the button it's clicked, to make a list, very simple stuff. But the way I am using newline isn't working the way I am used to, it just adds text and never starts a new line with most recent text, it just makes a single line as if I wasn't using it. How do I use this?

    Thank you!

  • Truly awesome work.

  • It works for me. And it's pretty amazing. But doesn't seem like it's ever going to be finished, plus, it sucks that you can only use it online. >_>

  • Ashley: You are not getting 60 FPS?

    The invisible portion is called an alpha channel, and the image editor already supports this. If you create a blank sprite for example, it begins at a 256 by 256 alpha channel, and retains that unless you fill it all.

    Likewise, if you set the red, blue, green, and alpha settings on the left side of the editor to 0 each, you have alpha as your "color".

    Hope this helps!

    Not sure I understood what you said. But I am talking about an imported pre-made image with a solid BG color.

  • Oh alright. That's good to know. Thanks Ashley.

  • Ashley: Okay, it's r105 that breaks it. It seems to be working fine with all others.

  • Have you read all the intervening changelogs and their breaking changes?

    It would be useful to narrow it down to a specific build that broke it, because there have been hundreds of changes in the time span you describe. It might also help you to stay up to date with beta releases, so you can report breakages when they happen rather than a long time after.

    Yeah, I always read the changes before installing a beta. I have been installing betas since they started. Nothing seemed like it should have been of concern to me.

    The reason why I don't know exactly which version broke it, it's because I hadn't had time to work on this for a while. I know r100 did not break it though, it worked fine with it and that was the last time I worked on it.

    I will go back to r100 and work my way up and let you know which one breaks it.

  • I have a very basic project for a battle system that I have been working on. I started this project somewhere around the r90's, I cannot remember. This always worked fine. I don't know what release post r100 caused the project to literally go nuts. Animations will not play, the system does not respect pauses between animations either. I did not change a thing since last time.

    I am at a loss.

    Here is the working project:

    Working

    Here is how the project works with the latest release:

    Buggy

    Arrows Left or right = Move

    Arrow down = Crouch

    Shift = Jump

    Z = Attack (keep pressing for combo)

    Space + arrow = Run

    X = Special

    Arrow up (hold) + Z = Attack modifier (after the third combo attack)
