& newline &

I have read quite a bit on how to use this command, but it is not having the effect I expected... On other software I used, using newline would automatically make a new line of text each time the command was triggered. Right now this is not the case. Yes, I am probably missing something or doing it wrong...

What I am trying to do here is adding the content of a text object (a one-line string) to another text object and start a new line each time the button it's clicked, to make a list, very simple stuff. But the way I am using newline isn't working the way I am used to, it just adds text and never starts a new line with most recent text, it just makes a single line as if I wasn't using it. How do I use this?

The problem is that you are just setting Text5 to 'Text.Text & newline'. You need to append 'Text.Text & newline' to Text5, or set Text5 to 'Text5.Text & Text.Text & newline'.
