  • You guys are just too awesome!

Thanks for the build, some really nice changes and fixes here .

  • I still eventually get a crash from opening the event wizard.....

This is really disheartening, as this is what I've been waiting to get fixed and it still isn't. Can you REALLY not make the window with the icons in it NOT appear unless you click a button to see them? I just imagine that's a much safer bet to avoid this. Please!

  • Oh my. Thats quite the awesome changelog. Definitely gonna devote some good hours to testing it

[rant] and believe me, I have the time. A family PV bug (that I also posted on the tracker) just freaking nuked my latest game... go figure [/rant]

  • Thx guys!!! Here is my experiment with 3D: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1581935/IMMOO%2 ... %20Exp.rar

  • XBox 360 controller is back to being automatically linked to move behavior. NICE!

    Thank you

  • Will upgrading from 0.99.85 to 0.99.9 cause my current projects to break? Last time I upgraded I had to restart from scratch? Or should I just finish my game first, since it's less riskier?

    Cheers!

  • wow! I'm going to try this out. Construct pretty much saved us during our Thesis. Now I have graduated as a Computer Science dude

  • Wow, nice update indeed there guys!

And the 3D Object seems to be a great addition aswell.

Time to get back to work for me!

Simply make a backup of your Game. That way if the project crashes or something you can still uninstall this build, install the old one and continue work.

  • Nice to see you are back on the track. A lot of details are taken care of. Your hard work helps me getting things done that I never thought I would.

But as much as I like to see such a big update, there seems to be problems. The 3D object was the first I wanted to check out. The result was that running it immediatly exits the exe and even the debugger.

And could someone who already downloaded my watch.cap (see signature for location) try to run it with 99.9? I can't move the window correctly (vertical movement completely ignored, horizontal movement weird). Exiting the watch.cap was originally done by clicking on the icon in the upper left. Now it needs a double click, although the events are still the same.

Heya, I tried loading your 3D object there and it works also perfect, I'm having a prob where the normals appear to be flipped. This obviously isn't happening to you Any ideas? I'll try another object tho.

Incredible update guys, this new 3D object is a great addition along with the fixes.... bring on v1.0!!

  • Is it possible to load an animated .obj model? or just non-animated models? either way thats cool.

  • Does the 3D object support shading like a phong or blinn shader? Everything I import is flat shaded. I don't necessarily need it, but just making sure I'm not missing a feature or importing incorrectly.

Is it possible to load an animated .obj model? or just non-animated models?

It doesn't seem like it supports any type of animation. You can rotate and move around individual objects though...I wonder if there could be away to make a hierarchy of 3d objects and animate that within Construct...

I'm having a prob where the normals appear to be flipped.

Have you tried resetting the transforms? I'm using max and it imports correctly.

  • Its flipped for me too, but Im using an exported obj, made in Anim8or.

No biggy tho, it's not like I cant export it flipped, or flip it in Construct.

As to the animation. Yeah you could make up you own out of multiple objects. The bones behavior would probably be Ideal for this.
