  Oh thank god. I was really hoping something like this would happen, I stopped using Construct ages ago because of all the bugs and problems. I'm really looking forward to this do-over, and I'm really glad you made that decision!

  Yes, you've been tricked. Construct is completely free. As Ashley said, they probably worded the fine print such that they're technically not breaking the law, but if it was unclear it was probably against eBay's rules about deceptive listings. Contact eBay, and also the seller.

  Html is not exactly a programing language, but its a good starting point, everybody needs some at some point, and there's not much math involved.

  Plus from there you can graduate to php, or something similar.

  HTML marks which parts of a page are bold, and which parts are italic, and whether a specific bit of text is annoyingly flashing. It's literally useless for messing around with maths. He wants something involving maths.

  With those requirements C# is the obvious choice. Visual Studio's GUI builder is unbeatable so you'll be building useful GUIs immediately. C# has significantly more in common with C++ than Python does.

  This, basically. C# remains the only thing I've made anything vaguely decent in.
