  • Right now, you can't. Maybe it'll be possible in the future. Or you could pay someone to make a plugin

  • Oh for the love of the invisible pink unicorn,

CONSTRUCT AS IT IS AT THE MOMENT IS COMPLETELY AND TOTALLY HARDCODED TO MAKE WINDOWS PC GAMES, IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO EXPORT FOR ANYTHING ELSE AND WON'T BE UNTIL AT LEAST CONSTRUCT 2 AND PROBABLY NOT EVEN THEN.

Pleeeeeeeeease can people search before asking AGAIN????

...Sorry. I'm just annoyed. I'll go calm down now.

    vv haha! Fixed

  • I use box.net and I've never had a problem. I hear dropbox is good though, and they provide direct links.

  • You have an interesting definition of 'engine'.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • Well, you could download an HTML file, parse it with python, and render it yourself. It would at least be more standards-compliant than IE!

  • When the auth key expires, look at the number in the top right.

1 block tall wall climbing is intentional and should ALWAYS work, not just sometimes.

  • nn.nn.nnn.nnn PORT: nn

nevermind, router doesn't want to play along

  • Ah, that fixed it, thank you.

But the reason I don't usually centre hotspots is because the object then no longer aligns to the grid properly. I'm assuming the physics broken-ness when the hotspot is non-centre is considered a bug?

  • Cap is here. So I tried applying physics with bounding box to the TiledBackgrounds, collisions were horribly messed up. Okay, I thought, guess tiledbackground doesn't like to play along with physics, I'll make a foreach loop to put a physics enabled Sprite over each tiledbackground to handle collision, result: Collisions are EVEN MORE fucked up!

version is 0.99.84, doesn't work in latest stable either. I'm sure I'm doing something really stupid but for the life of me I can't figure out what so someone please help pretty please

  • Pretty strange!

    That auction has expired, but:

Also, most of the description has been copy-pasted from the scirra site. <img src="http://sae.tweek.us/static/images/emoticons/emot-argh.gif">

Also, they misspelled 'dispatched' in their important notice.

  • Have fun in freaking India!

btw.. this is really awesome Dataflashbot. Any status on how it's coming along? What networking library did you decide to go with? This will be a huge plus when it comes out!!!

I'm using Boost.asio, and I don't really want to give status updates for fear of dissapointing if I give up. Thanks for the interest though!

  • The 360 plugin, as its name implies, only works for the 360 pad.

  • There's a hell of a lot of stuff Construct can do, but there's also stuff it can't. Quite a few topics have been made about the same things recently, so I thought I'd write this post to help newbies

I'm not a mod or whatever, so my word is not God/Mod.

    • ONLINE GAMES: As it happens, I'm currently working on a plugin for this, but until and unless I or someone else releases one, NO ONLINE. UNLESS, possibly, you use Python- this HAS worked, with networked pong, and I believe scidave is making a tutorial.
    • EXPORT TO ANY PLATFORM OTHER THAN WINDOWS: This has been suggested many times, and is highly unlikely to happen ever until Construct 2. THIS INCLUDES FLASH, JAVA, SILVERLIGHT, BLAHBLAHBLAH- you can NOT run Construct games in a browser.
    • 3D: Internally, Construct is 3D, as is evidenced by the 3D Box among other things. However, there is NO way to load meshes, and there WILL NOT be a 3D editor. It's still theoratically possible to do some cool semi-3D stuff, and FPS demos have been made, but it involves rather hard maths and is not what Construct was designed for.
    • GENERIC GAMEPAD: There's no plugin for this and no-one is known to be working on one. If you want to make one, or pay someone else to make one, that'd be super, otherwise you'll have to wait or go without.

There's quite a bit more, but those are the things I've been seeing a lot of. Will edit later with more. Hope someone finds this helpful!
