  • Exile03330, thanks for sharing. At least that is a good sign for anyone who wants to upgrade. Haha I'll hang on to my windows7 just for now as I've got a few projects working halfway. Hehe but if DX12 is released early......I just might make the changer early as well.

  • Ashley, thank for that, that is helpful for anyone planning to upgrade. That's weird, sorry, I have the get windows10 icon on my bar and I thought it is already out since many people have reviewed it. Haha but it's good to know. Thanks again!

Exile03330, that's good to know! I am sure those using windows8 can't wait to upgrade if it is the disaster they say it is! Not sure if there will actually be a difference, but based on your own usage, do you feel there is any difference in performance for both creating games in c2 and running them in windows10 compared to the previous windows?

  • So Windows 10 has just been launched and it is available for free to all windows 7 and 8 users. I read in many post that so far, those using 8 should upgrade, and those with 7 can wait it out since 7 is still currently the best. So for me, since I am using 7, I'll wait until there there is a big advantage for me to change over.

There is one thing I am wondering about, Ashley can I run C2 on Windows10 right now? Looking at the download page, I would think it is not supported yet since it states windows 7 and 8 currently. But I just haven't noticed any official word from scirra. I think it would be a good idea to inform our members here just in case they upgraded to windows10 and are now unable to run C2 anymore. Cause if I'm not wrong, once you upgrade to 10, your previous version will not work, so they won't be able to revert back. Perhaps create a sticky to inform everyone of the status of C2 supporting windows10.

P.S. As a gamer......who's excited about what's been shown of DX12 so far?

  • Congratulations Flump! This must be some exciting time for you! I wish you all the best on sales and just having a great time!

  • Wow! That is some impressive stuff! Haha this is not going to be a simple game, each level might take some time to complete, which is good in a sense that there are many things for the player to do and playing time is high. Haha If I had this on SEGA when I was 10, I think it would have increased my IQ much more than just playing golden axe!

  • Haha glad that did the trick for you Madrasmadnes! Was in the same situation and know exactly how you feel!

  • Nice! Now that is some beautiful art!!

  • I don't think it is the issue of size. Mine is around 49MB and I upload it through dropbox fine. That being said, I couldn't upload directly at all, and I had many issues at the beginning. Tom was able to help me out and this is what I found. Only use winzip, the others have issues. And most importantly for my issue at that time, if you use a link from dropbox, at the end of the url will be something like =0, change that 0 to 1. That did the trick for me and I was able to upload successfully. Hope this helps you out Madrasmadnes.

  • Actually you don't have to do anything complicated. You can just set a condition where, every tick that player is not pressing up, character y +2, or a number that you prefer. That way, it slowly sinks only if the player is not pressing up which means it is swimming up. For down, left and right, just set the movement to the appropriate x and y coordinates. Just remember to set your platformer control to off when it is in collision with the water object.

  • Nice job Tom, that was quick!

  • , wow thank you for that! True, I can't find any info on whether or not Apply might ban you or punish you if they detect you were using some sort of illegal means to create those certificates. I guess that was one of the main reasons why I was gearing towards macincloud. I saw many recommending virtualbox as well in the other forums. I will go take a look and just have a look at how it works and if there are any current information on whether it will work and how to make it work. Haha since I am not that good with the deeper technical side of computers, I am worried of going to deep and end up messing my computer. Hopefully it doesn't deal with the root files.

Also, macincloud did respond to me today, but their answer was simple, they are there to help me but they are only able to assist me in the making sure the system runs perfectly for me. The process of creating the certificates are out of their expertise so they will not be able to help. At least a very honest answer. They did recommend me to try the trial first to make sure everything can work.

Haha curse you apple for making it so hard and expensive!!

  • DUTOIT, haha nice! I'm still waiting for a few new generation of parts to hit the market before upgrading.

, does that mean that vmware might have issues with the ios publisher certificate? So I guess the most cost effective would be to use macincloud and similar services to create the certificate, than the next time you want to publish another game, use vmware since you already have the certificate?
