  • That's really informative Windwalker! Thank you for sharing this so other can also know what we are going to have to deal with.

......I had no idea that you needed to have an IOS running computer or laptop to create those certificates you mentioned to place your apps on the apply app store! So that means that if I want to publish my game there, I will need to buy an apply computer or laptop just for that?!

  • I take it that you are using a single door object and single button object for all four from the way you wrote it. If that's the case, there is a simple way of doing it. Every object will have a UID, it helps you identify every single object in the game, even if they are clones from the same object. When you select each individual object, notice that on the right properties layout, there will be a UID section which gives you their number. So all you need is to use this to achieve what you want.

Player is overlapping button: Set variable1 to button.UID

    Variable is (17 example)

    Sub event:

Pick Door with UID 20, (Let's say that 20 is the UID of the door you want button17 to open.)

Place your actions here to open the door.

  • jobel, Haha there are soooo many people here who have helped me down this path. I've been here for about 2 years and have created about 10 different games all thanks to the input and guidance of our super helpful members here (all not published cause I excitedly went straight to creating another game). Because of their help, I now feel much more confident that when I think up a game design, I feel like I already have a grasp of how to create it. Hmm.....I really could add a special thank you section and place all those who have helped me.....I am just worried that I might accidentally left out a few because there are so many of them. But I do think this is a good idea, especially since this is going to be my first published game. Thanks guys!

  • , haha yup, I think almost everyone skip the credits as there is nothing to see except rolling text. But being a gamer of the 90s, I still loved those credits like from mario and such, where you continued to watch just because they included a few funny animations at the bottom of the screen. Perhaps that is why I specially made a funny animation sequence that is specially for my credits section. Haha not sure how many players will actually see it since it is in the credits section though

  • If you are making for the pc which has more power, you can add a few things to make it look nicer.

First, change the sprite from a square into a circle. Second, It looks like you are not using every tick cause there are gaps, this is good but try reducing it a bit more to make it look smoother. And lastly, give it a sine behaviour with the size option. Play around with the settings to get the best results, but with these three, I think you can get a really nice effect.

  • Really sorry Irina cause I don't really understand what you are trying to achieve. Do you have an example capx? If you do maybe I can understand it better and can try to modify the capx for you.

  • Are you trying to compare every element with the value, or just the first one?

If you are just comparing the first, you just need do a comparison from value to that y element since you are using height. That if true, just set that date as the new value in that element.

If you are comparing every element, you can create a For loop and use a variable based on how many elements you have, so it will check every one. For example, there are 5 y elements, or 4 in y heights. So For Y < 5. Start with Y at 0 and than in the end of each action, add one to Y.

  • Done, haha if this gets google attention, we should put a mini shrine for TiAm and Egyptoon in one of our games!

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • I don't really understand what you mean by flickering dark, but if you are trying it give it an effect, perhaps the easiest is to create an animation for it. Than when touch, play that animation. If you are trying to just get it to flash, with a dark tint, another way would be to create the dark tinted image, than on touch, create that tinted object and have it flash than destroyed.

  • Nice! C2 is in with some good company in the list so you know how well C2 is perceived! Congrats, here's to more better things for C2......and also the coming C3!

  • In c2 when you open your game, in the bottom tab, how much memory does it say is currently in use?

  • DUTOIT, Thanks, I will do just that. Yup, just want to market the company name. Haha how very true about the credits, when I play I too can't be bothered with it. That's why I am trying to make it as simple as I can. Hehe also I added a small animation sequence in the credit section only so hopefully it just might make their stay in that section a little bit nicer.
