  • OddConfection, thank you for that info, I think I will do just that and keep it simple. Only thing is I am thinking of omitting my personal name from the credits and just use my company name. Is that ok? or is there any such rule that you must include your real names in the credit section?

  • Hi guys, after a few years learning and making quite a number of simple games (and tonnes of tweaking), I am finally ready to actually put my game out there. I am going to register a company name soon, to protect my game to whatever extent it can. But there is only me in this lonely company, so that's where my question comes in.

What should I put in the credits section?? I've checked quite a number of credits page in different games. But most of them have more than one person working on it so the credits section looks like any normal one. Haha I don't think putting so many roles with only my name under each will look good at all. But I need to have a credits section because I need to credit the artist who created the music I used for the game (the only element of the game that wasn't done by me).

To you guys think it is ok to just go like this?

    Credits:

This game is created by (company name)

Copyrighted (company name) All rights reserved

    Special thanks:

    Music soundtrack

    Musician name

Haha is something like this toooo simple, or do you think this is good enough?

  • For me personally, I just make them up as I go. There are a few game curves or ways to confuse or trick the player that I will have in my mind, but I only implement them when I build the levels to see which is best. Haha I guess my approach is very amateurish, but since I am working alone, it was worked well for me.

  • Haha I thought it was a 3D animated movie, so a bit surprised that it wasn't. Very excited when saw Adam Sandlers name in the actors list, haha 100% going to watch this!!

Here's the link to the trailer for everyone else. Trust us, you want to watch this!

  • Haha conceptually, it is something new and unique! So can't wait to see how they do it. Haha really want to know in what way the aliens are going to use video games to attack, hack all games? Or recreate all the game characters and attack earth.....or perhaps digitize the world into a gaming realm....or even make earth like GTA...(wait it already is :p). Haha now I am really interested in this movie!

  • volkiller730 how very true!

  • That looks like fantastic piece of software. If you look into the support section, it does say that it is supported by C2 so that is definitely good news.

Haha to be honest, I had no idea C2 was able to support normal maps. Needless to say, I immediately open C2 to have a look, and I think it is in the effect section, at the bottom, there is the normal mapping option. It works, but wondering what the performance dropoff will be like vs the number of normal mapping objects we use.

  • , volkiller730, hahaha that should be Ashley's new response whenever someone files a new bug report!!!

  • It's not that hard, you just need to remember that, for every ability or way you want your zombie to react, you need to break it down and set them up 1 by 1.

So for your example, if you want the zombie to only break the walls for he is chasing the player, use a variable to determine which mode the zombie is in, than set the events in them.

If zombie is chasing player, set variable1 to 1. Than, while variable1 is 1, and zombie on collision with player made wall, wall destroy. You can set it to play any animations at that period too if you want.

Remember that every action you want your zombie to perform, you need to individually define them.

I should probably change that to something else.

please don't change! Hahaha the derpmeister!

  • Haha I actually bought it during its early adopters phase sometime last year, it was call FPS creator ....something. Back than, the only problem was performance, and many of the functions weren't available yet....like the UNDO button!! Which drives you crazy when you are sculpting terrain.

But this is a FPS game, so you can't make another genre from it. But graphics wise, it is absolutely beautiful. It's not at Crysis level graphics, more like L4D2 on high settings, something like that. Put all the setting high and with bloom effect (diffuse glow) sometimes I just play it and stand at the beach I created to enjoy the view! Haha.

I guess when I have the time, I'll download and install the latest version and give it a spin.

  • LittleStain, haha that is so devious, it is almost evil!

Magistross, thank you! That worked perfectly!
