  • No worries JJEvil, take your time with your project! It looks so awesome that the last thing I would want to do is distract you from it. Hehe yup, will be waiting patiently for your demo!

  • Wow!! It is unbelievably cool!! Even more so for your first game! I love the glow effect you have! I have no idea how to do that right now, but it just gives it that really cool effect and ambience to the game.

It looks really complex, I would be surprised if you could achieve all that if you are using the free version with the 100 event limit. It also looks quite intensive, is it meant mainly as a pc game?

Hehe you have a fan! Can't wait to see how this game turns out!

Are you sure it doesn't have some supernatural powers to help me predict the results for this year's world cup?? (come paul II, choose the banana with the flags on them)

  • blackhornet, Thank you so much!! Yup that is what I am after! Haha it looks like my grasp of the syntax is still poor, I didn't know I could do it this way. Again, thank you so much, I really appreciate it!

  • Hi guys,

I have this problem. I want to my player object to move along a bridge object that connects two nodes objects. The problem lies in that all of them are not standing still but moving. This is how I want it to work: When the player clicks on another node, a bridge is formed between the two nodes, and the player moves on it until it reaches the new node, but all the nodes have bullet movement to them.

I have my capx below, which should give you a better idea of what I am trying to achieve.

If you disable the lower event and activate the disabled one, you will see what I am trying to achieve, except this one the player jumps directly to the node.

I would really appreciate any help on this. Have been stuck for a while now. Thank you.

  • Hi Naji, if games are something you are passionate about, than don't give up just because of some bad experience. Take it on and grow from it. Keep thinking of how to improve your games. As Kyatric mentioned, you are still young. You will gain lots of experience from this and it will help you.

Haha I won't partake in the pro vs hobbyists debate! I absolutely won't!!

There is one piece of advice I will offer. Build games that others would want to play, not what you would want to play. This is the general rule for any successful business. This is something that you will gain with experience. So hang in there!

  • Wow, interesting information here! This is really helpful information to everyone who is just getting started like me! Thanks guys!

  • Since I've been to quite a few caves , the thing that sets them apart, is the ambience. Dark in some areas, slightly bright in others. Sharp shadows from the jagged edges, light bounce and coustic lights, for me that is what gives the caves their aura. Not too sure if it is efficient to use the effects to do this, worried about performance, but you could do the graphics files directly if the size if not too large.
