  • Not sure if it's just me, but I can't view any of the images you posted.

  • Like what everyone has said....this is so cool!!!

A magazine that shows interesting information that we would never have got, tips and tricks and even allows some of us to showcase our games.....as a humble beginner, please let me just say thank you!

  • There are a few ways to go about it as mentioned above. This is the method I use:

    I name my levels "Level1" to "Level71"

I create a global variable that determines which level I am at. Than when the player clicks on the next level button:

    Add +1 to CurrentLevelVariable

    Go to layout "Level"&CurrentLevelVariable

I also create another variable to store the highest level I've cleared. This is useful as you can create a continue button like many games that will bring the player to the level they have yet to clear. Hopefully this helps a bit.

  • wow? 193 Stable?

They did it!! They finally invented the time machine!!

  • DUTOIT

You can tell your a father as you have the patience of a saint !

He shall now be bestowed the name Saint Dutoit!

Hardty, I am still a beginner, but I went through what you are facing not too long ago, so I will give you a clue. Dutoit mention that it is either an error in how you store, calculate or retrieve the data, I can't say for sure without seeing it, but I would take a good look at how you store it. It might have just missed your eye, so look at it a bit more.

Hehe I won't give you a straight answer and go against Saint Dutoit who has helped me soo much

  • Wow, it definitely looks interesting! Will give it a try.

  • Wow!! I just heard a few of your soundtracks......and I have to say.....that's unbelievably good!! Wow, if my game ever makes it to that stage, I will definitely consider sending you an email!

  • I guess judging from the games one creates....or publishes....you can tell the difference between those that love games but need to make money, and those that love money by making a game.

  • Thanks for sharing that sqiddster! I have 51 levels....somehow I feel that it is not long enough.....haha maybe because I know all the solutions and how to get past it quick. I think I will stick to it, and finish the graphics to complete the game than see how it fares.

Best of luck to your game.....a game as interesting and cool as yours, with just a bit of luck could be the next big thing! Rooting for you!

  • Just watched the trailer and It should be called Coolness overload!!!

Just a question, roughly how many levels does the game have? I am in the middle of a platform game and wondering roughly the number I should aim for.

  • Haha I would never say never to learning new things, so yo have 1 vote here!

  • Thank you for this, it is incredible insightful and will definitely be very useful!

  • Final Fantasy 7 Aerith Death ....THe younger generations might laugh at it now.....but boy was it so emotional back then...

Final Fantasy 10 Ending.....emotions overload!!!! (Will try find the HD version with subtitles!)

  • 1. Final Fantasy Series (VII is the king!!!! All other games bow before him or I will unleash Omnislash and summon Bahamut!!!)

    2. Resident Evil Series (There are so many good ones, but the original was just a game changer!)

    3. StarCraft series (Easy choice!)

    4. Twisted Metal series (Don't know how many hours I spent on no2.....probably too much!)

    5. Red Alert and Command & Conquer series ( I know they are different games, but they felt so similar and it was so much fun and a revolution at its time!!!)

    6. Devil May Cry series (Really fast paced action, cool demon characters, huge assemble of weapons and combos.....probably should be higher!)

    7. God of War series (Gore, nudity, profanity, action and a godly coolness only Kratos has.....hmmm....I hope he doesn't come after me for not putting him higher!)

    8. GranTurismo (Loved no2 the most.....I don't think I have spent more time on a single game than this...... easily over 10000 hours......I kid you not!!!)

    9. Need For Speed series (Underground2 is still the best I think, it really pushed the series to another level.)

    10. PES (Hehe being a football fan....the first one for the sega was so funny yet good. The first game to try and mimic players hairstyles....haha so many good times and laughs)

Haha these are just my personal opinion....in the end, these are the games that were able to create such a strong feeling to me when playing them.
