  • Really nice, the textures are really well done that you almost can't tell from certain angles that it is low poly.

  • Currently my brain is still accustomed to the old layout, but I have to say, I do find the new one attractive. I am sure many of us will get used to this design....and than pick up our pitchforks if Ashley and Tom plans to change the design

Ya, so far only two things are bothering me, 1: I need to constantly login, and 2: there are still many dead pages, such as from Kyatric How Do I sticky. But I do notice that many pages are starting to get accessible, so I guess this is a problem that will soon be fixed.

P.S. One thing I do love about the new forum over the old forum, in the old forum, most of the time I post something, I get an error and have to go back and press submit again. And sometimes what I've written has been lost. No such problems so far with the new forum! Not sure if anyone was having the same problem with me.

  • Thanks so much lennaert and I understand how webstorage works much better now.

One of my problems was how to set a local storage, I might have accidentally did it the first time by mistake, but after a few tinkering, I was finally able to set one. Because the only button on my first screen had a load webstorage function, I was finally able to set a local webstorage by checking if the local key exist and if not create one on start of layout.

Although....I am not sure why, now my whole game is messed up! I am really not sure why it happened cause parts that have nothing to do with the webstorage is acting weird, but I'll have a look and hopefully is something I can notice and fix soon.

Wow!! That is a nice trick Dutoit! I will definitely be using it to check my local keys if I ever need to check!

  • lennaert thanks. I probably sound very dumb for this, but how do you store the webstorage variable in preview over lan session?

I don't see any options for such in the webstorage events. Or is there something I have to set to allow it to be stored in another connection browser?

  • Hi guys,

I saved some variables using webstorage and when I test it out, everything works fine. But when I preview it using lan, it appears that there is nothing there.

I am guessing that it has to do with localhost and the preview over lan actually being a ip address. But I have no idea what to do for this? I am planning to release my game into android, is there anything I should be aware of first regarding webstorage?

    Thanks guys.

  • Wow I love hearing such music that just transport you to another fantasy realm! Sorry, I just saw your post now, I might be a bit late, but I would still like to give you my support for the competition. I too choose the melancholic version. The extreme version was too chaotic for me as well. I think it is due to the rapid cross between left to right channels. Hehe and also too much distorting of the singing voice for my taste.

  • Try changing from (on key pressed) back to (space is down), but now add a (trigger once) condition together with them.

  • Hi guys,

I am trying to create the effect where a tetris like shaped object falls and when it comes in contact with a block, it PUSHES is down together, until it touches the third block, by where it stops pushing and starts to fade.

I use the on collision to pin the blocks to the tetris objects and add to my variable. So once the variable reaches 3, it stops the movement, unpins the blocks and fades the tetris like object.

The problem is I am not getting consistent results....or perhaps consistent inconsistent results actually. Object type 2 works perfectly, but object type 1 consistently doesn't work. I am really confused with this. I do hope someone is able to take a look and help me out with this. In my capx, I am using families.
