  • Great plugin. we get very few game play plugins and its refreshing to see something useful. This will diffidently get used in my projects. Thanks and hope you continue doing game play related plugins! 8)

  • What i give for a mode 7 effect.... Blarg.

  • I just re-read your initial question and realized you have already gotten as far as I have most likely. So sorry if I wasted your time with my reply. There must be a way to pull it as they have a list that is hooked up to the keypress action. Unless they are pulling them from an array or something...

It's alright. Yeah, there doesn't seem to be an expression for this. Maybe Ashley can comment on this?

  • Oh, so that's how they did those type of games. Nice link, its pretty informative.

  • Try Construct 3

  • Was wondering how do i display the keycode shown as the key letter/number that is pressed?

  • Looks like we will see an interesting race for market share. If i wear to predict the outcome, i say Nvidia > Game Stick > Ouya.

I'll be honest though, that handheld visually looks like a console-to-handheld homebrew project. Nvidia has bad design taste lol

  • Indeed. The portability makes it more appealing then the Ouya.

But i hope both of them succeed in the long run, so gamers have an alternative to the pricey Microsoft/Sony/Nintendo options.

This could be the golden age for indie developers.

  • PixelPalette, I'd have to disagree with you. 3Step Studio looks like it limts your options immensely to very prestructured games. This isn't where C2 is going at all.

Was not saying C2 is trying to be a program for nonprogrammers. C2 is trying to attract both people without programming knowledge and experience programmers. But in the end, its really just going to get programmers.

Although 3step studio is limited, its doing what it needs to in attracting nonprogrammers.

  • It's definitively not a challenger. Maybe to full on programmer users, but for users who have little programming knowledge, C2 is still the better option.

If 3step studio keeps going, it will become THE option for noneprogrammers. C2 needs more pre-programmed functionally to attract this market.

  • OK, what about webGl effects? Are these allowed? What about custom webGL effects?

EDIT: Another question - if it's for the Arcade, how are you going to get around the 10mb limit? Will there be a mb limit for all the games?

Also, are you planning on reskinning the games to fit a common graphical theme or just leaving them as they are (not saying that would be a bad thing ;) )

    Yes, webgl is allowed.

Not every game will get to be in the first Mini Mayhem, which is one way to keep the file size down. A selected few will be in once the vote is tallied. The ones who don't make it, can reenter them if they modify it for the next event.

Yes, i will reskin the entries that make it. Conforming to a single style.

  • Is this different than the OUYA collaboration, a part of it, or its replacement?

It's part of the google group discussion (Blazah's idea), and their is interested members for that. Btw, join the Skype group! 8)

  • I should also add that these minigames are prototypes to be polished later for a final project. So do not worry about how it looks! Just the basic idea and our helpers will turn it into a polish, cohesive experience for the user.

  • Join the group guys! we are thinking of a mini game collection idea. 8)
