  • Only thing i can think of is making a mini game suite with C2 games. everyone make a small game and put them out as a collection. Other than that, im not sure how that would work

Thats exactly what we are doing.

  • 3 Step Studio is looking to be the best option for nonprogrammers. Focused on specific genres. Which is awesome.

  • Glad your safe! Although, i don't get why people have trees like that too close to their home property. That's an accident waiting to happen.

As for the apocalypse. I would have preferred to finally see some aliens. 8( x)

  • Why did that go to a silly advertising pop-up?

You can skip it at the top-right corner. 8)

  • Thought i take a little break from my bigger project, and do a very retro arcade game. Hoping to add some more touches to flesh it out more, but its pretty playable at its current state.

In the game distance, you are a marathon runner that needs to jump hurdles to earn points. As you reach score milestones, the running speed will pick up and up, until the hurdles are moving so fast that you run into them. If you touch them, it is game over.

Press A key/button to jump at the right time to traverse a hurdle. press left/right/down/up using J,I,K,L or the dpad to move around the character.

Here is the link to the game.

Let me know what distance/score you get! 8)

  • Yes we noted it doesn't work in ludei's forum. It's up to them to fix it. 8)

  • Unless you win the contest monthly, Kongregate is just garbage for earning any sort of money.

As for MarketJS, its too early for anything like flash money, so you have to have an amazing game to earn anything.

I haven't seen Adfly, but looks cool.

Wonder if anyone made decent money yet on Google Play.

  • This defies everything I've read about mobile device development, surprising to hear!

I only meant it using the kindle fire with cocoonjs. Sprites are technically slower then tiled background, but this is not the case it seems on the first gen, kindle.

I have to just bite the bullet and sacrifice some textures for performance. Or, Ash could do a native android/ios exporter... ;)

  • I'm developing a simple-fun arcade game for the kindle fire.

    1. If you are using cocoonjs, do not use too many tiled backgrounds! After trial and error, i found out that was the biggest performance hinder. Not sure if CocoonJS needs to optimize tiled backgrounds.

    2. The accelerometer is not working on the kindle fire, using cocoonjs. I get no data out of it. I checked all the expressions, and the only one that fires is touch.

  • I got to round 6 before death.

So far its alright, but its pretty buggy right now. Sometimes the zombies clip through walls. Also the zombies jitter constantly when it reaches the player. Additionally, you should probably make it so the zombies do not rotate to face the player, while hidden away in the rooms. Besides that, the crossbow is not a satisfying weapon to be honest. Perhaps, add an acceleration to it?

  • Try Construct 3

  • Kyatric Yep, it was exactly that. Will do next time. Thanks! 8)

  • I been trying to set the grid height to 64, but its not budging from 32.

Tried it on both an existing project and a new empty project. 8)

  • Ashley - Yeah, i am choosing export for appmobi. It works if i ignore the xdk emulator and use my tablet to launch locally, but it doesn't seem to change orientation when i have it set for portrait(its stuck on landscape), which i figure that it does not see the appmobi plugin for some reason.

Also, i am not sure if this problem was similar to the Kongregate plugin. It was not working either when i tried adding its features. Are you sure your exporting is injecting the javascript?

  • Don't mean to bump an old thread, but i am getting the same issue. "Critical alert: the appMobie Javascript library is missing!"
