  • Yes, i would also like to know an update to this problem. The Scale outer is not cutting it for me. 8)

  • My game runs pretty good the last time i ran it (no physics), but i have not used the 4.1 update yet. The only thing that sucks bad is that i need the letterbox scale working... Otherwise i can't release on mobile yet, and my game is nearing its completion stage.

As far as criticism goes, everyone has a right to criticize a product if they are unhappy with it. Rightfully or not. Generalizing a community is stupid. Stop defending their company, because they are big boys and can come to the forum themselves.

  • Yesssssss. This is the most important third party plugin i ran into. 8)

  • Changing your variables from "Text" to "Number" fixes your problem.

    rock on,

    Michael

Thanks, that worked. But how does keycode down work with string but not pressed? Bit confusing.

    Steps to reproduce:

    1. Press the A key

    2.

    3.

    Observed result:

    Nothing.

    Expected result:

Shoots a bullet object in facing direction.

    Browsers affected:

    Chrome: yes

    Firefox: yes

    Internet Explorer: yes

    Windows 7 64bit

    Construct 2 version: 133

I'll add here, that it works with "keycode is down", but for some reason, "keycode pressed" does not work.

  • Try Construct 3

  • Here is my first entry as the programmer and artist this time around.

Voted for tilemaps. I decided on using Game Maker for my current project because of this reason. The wizard for extracting tiles is perfect in game maker, but the tilemapping is moderate. C2 could make a stride in this area by doing much more, with copy past tile region, line and paint bucket tool, along with the tile wizard. 8)

As for the multiplayer, if your not going to implement it in an easy use form for non programmers, then why implement it at all if your not confident in programming it yourself? It's game maker tool, not C++. The idea is to make it easy for all users.

  • How would i make it so its only a strip down the center, like a road? The problem is it repeats this in the horizontal, so you see multiple strips. I tried putting 1, but it doesn't show it.

  • ok , i think i will never play this game until it get fix or anything!! this game has alot of weird stuff and i really couldn't play it ... at the beginning when i saw no loading i tough its normal maybe my internet is so slow but i found that the game has this freaking loading and after that it comes says click X and i clicked my x and all my other keys with any working and after alot of clicks the game weirdly began o.o and it seems there is also no jump with an killing stuff>>> the game must has lower loading , hmmm active? when i click x it should work instantly and for beginning the graphics looks great.

sorry if this comment hurt you but this is the thing i feel and sorry if i used wrong words to explain

You can find the game on newgrounds. I don't know what is causing problems for you. And yes, you cannot kill enemies because that is not the point of the game. The objective is to escape as quickly as you can by traversing to the top.

Your sentences are unreadable. Please have someone translate for you. 8)

  • Hello PixelPalette, nice game, I like the dash mechanics. Any chance you could share a sample event sheet with your air dash logic? I am working on a multi-directional air dash and looking over how others are handling their air dashes helps me work through the problems I run into.

    Thanks,

    James

I'm using the platform behavior, in which i changed the speed property to something faster then the walk. Then you just make and use a timer variable for how long you want to let them dash. Nothing complicated really.

I'll send you a striped down version if you want, when i dig up the project file. 8)

  • Basically an open source game handheld that you can connect to your tv. Perfect for retro games and emulators/roms. I like this more then Ouya or Gamestick. But it may not make it, since it got a couple days left.

EDIT- Looks like it got funded, nice nice.

  • One time bump. Still think it would be really handy.

  • I do and would pay the same amount they have going for the 2D one....

But yeah, if they do, they need to change the name from C2 to Construct 2D and Construct 3D respectively.

  • I agree with Arima. If Craftstudio can do visual scripting for 3D, then why not.

Oh yeah, i herd of Kodu. Hmm, might try it out.

  • CraftStudio looks like its going to be in that area, but its only for blocky models and animations you do inside the app.

If enough users gets Unity attention on a event system like C2, they might try it rather then the kismet approach? We would need to organize a group of C2 users to go flood their forum with the suggestion. 8P

I second though the ability to import models and animation into C2.
