  • Seems to be working fine for my editor. I tried loading some of my old files and they seem to be working too.

    Can you post a Capx so we can help you bug hunt?

  • I highly reccomend UNity + Playmaker. But a 100% free to learn option is also U4E by Epic. It has a blueprint system, a Shader editor, and a easy to use map editor.

    Check out the community. there are lots of little projects you can join to learn.

  • Click on the store button, you can buy it in the store IIRC.

  • Try removing the windows border and doing a full-screen border-less window.

    {
    	"main": "[[[previewurl]]]",
    	"name": "[[[name]]]",
    	"window": {
    		"toolbar": false,
    		"width": [[[width]]],
    		"height": [[[height]]],
    		"position": "center",
    		"show": false
    	},
    	"node-remote": "[[[remotehost]]]",
    	"dom_storage_quota": 50,
    	"user-agent": "Mozilla/5.0 (%osinfo) AppleWebKit/%webkit_ver (KHTML, like Gecko, Chrome, Safari) NWjs/%nwver",
    	"chromium-args": "--disable-extensions --disable-plugins --disable-internal-flash --disable-popup-blocking --enable-gamepad --enable-html5-camera --allow-file-access-from-files --disable-software-rasterizer --ignore-gpu-blacklist"
    }[/code:1x4o7tbg]

    Replace your:
    C:\Program Files\Construct 2\exporters\html5\nwjs\package-preview.json

    with the above code, and you can test it without borders. Be sure to set the window X and Y to 0, and the resolution you desire.

    'Made some neat ocean effects with it!'

    Nice example..but your project uses Noise.js plugin!

    The level generator is noise.JS, but the water effect is yours

  • Cap you please post a capx?

    I have terrible English, it would be easier for me to look at your document than try to guess from your description.

  • Reminds me of an old game called Darius

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Darius_%28video_game%29

    Add mechanical fish, and i will be the first to buy your game <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile">

  • Be careful. Make sure you do not give them your source files. And watermark your graphics. They do not need that to evaluate your game.

    Be careful with your wording... Never use the phrase "i am giving this to you", or anything else that might hint that you are trading the ownership of your game.

    China in general should be avoided as a business partner. Nigeria comes is a second. Brazil a close third. But that is a just a personal preference, formed by experience.

  • TRy running the samples that come with C2 on your phone. You might notice that nothing runs without lag.

    I ported my project to android and could not figure out what was wrong. Then i tried compiling the endless platform jumper template, which was under 10 events. It did not even want to run for me at first.

    It might not be C2 lagging , it might be the Phone. Try testing on another device, and you might not see as much of a problem.

  • Try Construct 3

    Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

    Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Dear Construct 2 Users,

    Before i go into buying Construct 2, i have did some basic tutorials on construct 2 from courses. My Question is do i need to have plugins or addons to make my game commercially good? in terms of the behavior or events and actions for the game?

    I know that game design and logic is needed, but can i do these all with construct 2 and without the plugins and addons? I noticed alot of people using addons for their games and just wanted to clarify.

    Thanks

    If you want sell you game on Steam with steam API you will need some plugins.

    If you project needs Simplex or perlin noise you will need a plugin.

    If you use hash tables you will need a plugin.

    If you want to use HTML frames you will need a plugin.

    If you want to use the HTML5 canvas for blitting pixels then you will need a plugin.

    It all depends on your needs. You might want to try a demo version first. Then you can see what plugins are included.

    [quote:1g17gj8x]Define "no C2 developer has been successful on steam does not mean the rest of us don't have a chance"

    Our Darker Purpose http://steamspy.com/app/262790

    The Next Penelope also sold nearly 6,000 copies since May this year. Not a huge success, but not abject failure by any stretch of the imagination.

    "2/3 projects I have worked on are successful on steam. (Ace of spades, Running with Rifles) It is not as hard as some people think. It just takes hard work is why most people are failing."

    If only "hard work" is all it took...

    Has it been on the top 10 sales page? Running with Rifles and Ace of spades both made it to the top 10 list sales list.

    And all we did was work hard for our steam success.

    Maybe you need to work harder?

  • I use Dwolla : https://www.dwolla.com/

    Some people like Paypal, but they play games with your money, and take a huge cut.

  • I think Ashley still maintains the free version even. He is very proud of his work. I think he will keep this updated, as much as possible as far as keeping it bug free. I just don't think there are any more features to be added.

    I defiantly got my money out of C2 so far. I will be buying C3. I love how it is focused on 2D rather than trying to be the "Be all, end all" solution like Unity for 2D games. 2D with Unity was an afterthought. The tools are all geared for 3D.

    I also like the quick responses to (actual) problems. Most software I have bought through the years have nameless faceless tech support with no way of contacting the core programmers or designers.

    anyway,

    +1 for I bet Ashley will support if for a long time.

  • Glad to help

    It is an old webpage trick I learned when I was studding CSS.

  • Hatred, they got it on a Groupee bundle. You can grab it for around $5!

    https://groupees.com/damned4

    I have played a lot of horror games, and violent games, but this one really takes the cake. Even after playing it for an hour, it still makes my skin crawl. Only other game to do this to me was Manhunter.

    Bundle comes with some music, and some indie-filler /turdware. Hatred is worth the $5 , the rest of the package is pretty bad.
