  • Construct is an amazing free game/application piece of software. It is easy to use and a great leaning tool for future programmers. But not a 3d game making tool.

I would be happy to steer you to other 3d programming applications if you wish, but as a warning they are much more difficult and time consuming.

May I make a suggestion? Why not try to build you game in a 2d version with construct? You will finish it in a fraction of the time.

  • What a great thread!

    R0J0hound nice pice of code.

.. and I second they I would like to see a finished cap from Minor example, or better a tutorial!

    Things just got interesting here!

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • I think I should make this a new stable build to replace 0.99.62, even if 0.99.91 isn't perfect, it's probably still way ahead.

    General agreement?

Yes this build is working with all my projects tested so far, and has new features that 0.99.62 did have.

    Go for it.

  • It opens but it doesn't work properly. I immediately notice that the 360 controller commands I've set don't respond in some situations in newer versions where it does in .62.

As far as I know, there has been some updating to the 360 controller object since .62, and that may explain why the commands made in .62 aren't responding in newer versions.

Huh. I stopped working on 2 projects when the 360 controller object stop working normal but as of this new update (.99.91) and the previous one all is back to normal. In fact I did not even need to code the controller using either the car or 8 direction behavior.

Want to upload a sample of the 360 controller object not working please?

  • Minor you work fast, LOL

  • Thank you so much for the great updates. Your efforts are amazing!

  • What a fun Photoshop video

  • 9Tb of crap,

    ~Sol

    Oo

  • Thank you so much David!

  • So say you had a game where conversation was between 2 people and depending what what action was taken. Would you have more than 1 Time Line?

And if so when you came back to the fist Time Line? would it pick up where you left off?

In other words can this be a little more dynamic?

Here we go, a lot simplier

VERY Nice and so useful for many different games,

This is is much harder in Game Maker.

    Great Example David

  • XBox 360 controller is back to being automatically linked to move behavior. NICE!

    Thank you

  • Like, to compile for linux (using OpenGL), compiled for Mac OSX, iPhone, and the Zeebo (with OpenGL ES 1.1)

Is it too later to add Logo to the list? That be be so cool!

  • WOW Great start! All I can say is can't wait for more.

Make sure you link this in the Wiki, I think this may be VERY popular when finished

  • The way Python is implemented in Construct is (very) nice however, and I'm not trying to put it (or the given example) down in any way.

I totality got that Jayjay, and no bad karma taken.

But I really applaud lucid trying to get more interest in python, and simple examples spark complex ideas and projects.
