  • Okay okay. A combination of the two together, with adjusting the location of items. I got it know. Will tinker to adjust. The combination of both worked. I always thought they both did the same thing: changed layout only.

    Thanks, Noga.

  • Shoot me some reps please. :) I want to feel special!

  • I am working on a post (elsewhere, not this one <img src="smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0" align="middle" /> ) and realized the I can not copy events as text, as we can in Classic. Is this a future ability or a no-more ability?

  • Oh really. I thought four was the limit in Classic too.

  • Is it more efficient to keep music as files to be pulled from a directory:

    + File: For each file in AppPath & "audio"

    ...and keep sound effects as resources:

    -> XAudio2: Autoplay resource "Skillet - Hero (instrumental).wav" (Loop)

  • So, call to an EVENT, say in "start of layout" opposed to starting the layer itself?

  • I have found that when resetting the game:

    <code snippet>

    + MouseKeyboard: On key R pressed

    -> System: Go to layout 1 with transition "None" lasting 0 MS

    It does not always reset everything. Like when a boss ship comes:

    <code snippet>

    + System: Is global variable 'Score' Greater or equal 5000

    -> System: Set global variable 'Mode' to 1

    + System: Is global variable 'Mode' Equal to 1

    + System: Every 2000 milliseconds

    -> BossMovePoint: Set position to Hero.X+random(20)-10, 100

    -> Boss001: Set speed : 50 towards BossMovePoint

    Or when this item gets updated in the top GUI:

    <code snippet>

    + Hero: On collision between Hero and PurpleCross

    -> System: Add 1 to global variable 'JesusScore'

    -> PurpleCross: Destroy

    + System: Is global variable 'JesusScore' Equal to 1

    -> JESUS: Set animation frame to 2

    ...and so on to frame 6.

    Any thoughts about this?

    Thank you.

  • Still looking at this. Although the events still a bit away for me to fully understand, I think I have the idea how it all works.

  • Ha ha, ha ha. never mind. It is the EYE icon. I always thought that was something else. Not even sure now what I always thought it was.

    Dope slap me now.

    I only got four layers to use so I need to learn to use them more efficiently.

  • In editing mode in my space shooter, I have a bunch of objects: lasers, ships, etc. All scattered around the black screen. However, I can only scroll so much around the layout in the editor for real-estate to put objects used in the game. Are there any option to keep things organized and cleaned, so you can put even larger objects without smaller ones being in the way, or vise versa?

    Thanks for your tips.

  • I know I have seen it somewhere before but I can not find it. In the editor, I can change a layout size from default 640,480, but I can not figure how to get it to actually view the larger size when running the program. Is it possible with Construct Classic, to play the game in a screen size larger than the viewing defaults?

    Again, I know i saw it somewhere, but was a couple of months ago and I can not find it.

    Thank you.

  • Yea. My mother took me. We lived in a city near Boston so it was close by. Attended for three days. I did not know about those cartridges until a long, long time later. I remember being on stage twice, in the king's chair once (for having the highest score of the seven on stage), the Zelda play, and the games. I have a few pictures Mom took of the event. Good times, good times.

  • I just watched the one on the Nintendo World Championships:

    I was there actually. One of the semi-finalists, Worcester, MA 1990. I was 13 years of age then. Was fun.

  • I am fairy new, since May. I first read of it on this site here. I am still learning CC during free time, and just reading about C2 at this moment. I always prefer to go with versions that are currently being updated. I plan to keep my eye on this site for a long, long time.

  • Very interesting some poses are. Some pictures were funny, others will give me nightmares for centuries to come.
