  • Construct 2 compresses the audio files for you (into .ogg and .m4a). You can set the bitrate when importing.

  • For the easiest method just check the "Signed" option in the XDK project's build settings.

  • Scirra has expanded in the near past (they hired a developer), and based on Ashley's posts they plan to expand again. But it's their business how they manage the company.

By the way: IMHO, multi platform support for the editor is not needed. If I want to run it on the Mac or Linux, I can use Virtual Box with Windows for it. Also multi Language support is not needed - not for the editor. People who are not (enough) speaking English, are mostly Kids. The problem is: they usually have no own money.

I see your point, but I think many of the users would not agree with this. IMHO if cross-platform can be supported by designing the new editor towards that from the beginning, it's a good selling point and a welcomed feature by most of the users. Remember, not all C2 developers can run a virtual machine or have stong enough computers to do so.

  • Construct 2 was designed to handle complex projects as well, so I'd say you don't have to worry about this.

  • What is the current state of this plugin? I saw that the op wasn't edited almost a year ago. Is it still under development? And is it stable and reliable enough to make 3D games in Construct 2?

QuaziGNRLnose , are you planning on bringing this to Construct 3 in the future?

  • It's not that easy.. Since a lot of the users said that one of the big advantages of Construct 2 is the affordable price tag. I say, that while I really want to see this feature in C2, Scirra warned us that we shouldn't expect many new features for C2.

IMO: I also love that C2 is not a subscription based software. I believe in one time payments and if Scirra is to raise the price tag, I'd rather pay more for Construct 3 one-time and use it whenever I want, then to pay for it monthly.

  • Is there anything I can do to get Windows XP support back? About 60% of the machine I am installing on run Windows XP - is there something I can install or tweak to make it work with these older computers? At the present time my app just crashes on startup.

While I don't know any technical details about this, I'd say you shouldn't get your hopes up. Windows XP is a not supported, dead and old OS. The industry wants it to disappear, so there won't be any support for that imo.

  • Well designed hotkeys are always nice. The more of them the better. However the current ones satisfy my needs completely.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • The request fullscreen action only works with user triggered events due to a browser limitation. So, you can only use it with on clicked, on key pressed, etc..

  • Can you ZIP your wav file and post a link to it? It may be a problem with the audio file..

  • Well, it worth a try. Thanks for posting the messages here.

  • It's good, no, it's great. Do we have now an NW.js version without performance problems?

  • Please, keep us posted about his response.

It's still under development with no release date set. It's probably still a long way off.

  • It's really time consuming to work on this stuff, and there are a bunch of tools like this out there. It's much better if the developers can take our Javascript SDK and integrate it themselves. That's what the SDK is there for.

Thanks for taking the time to check it out.
