  • I might be a bit late, but thank you all for your responses.

  • Thanks for the answers.

  • Hello everyone!

I'm a long time C2 user but in the past year or so I had to take some time off from this Community and software due to my studies. So before I jump back in I just wanted to ask how are things going? How is the Community standing since the release of C3? Is everyone still as satisfied with Scirra as they were back a few years?

  • Thank you for this summary.

  • Great community and devs we got here. I've been here for a while now, and this forum was essential in my journey.

  • Thank you for the answers.

Paypal support is actively being developed and coming on well - I think it'll be ready in 2 - 3 weeks.

This is good news, I'm eagerly waiting for this.

  • I left these forums for a few months now because I didn't have time to develop my side-projects with Construct 2/3. While I read all the new release notes, and official announcements and blog posts, I'd like to ask the community:

How is Construct 3 standing now? How it feels to develop your projects with it?

Do we have PayPal payment options available or any information on when it might be an option?

Any hints or announcements on the forums by Scirra regarding future developments or licensing?

While I understand the need for this, out of curiosity: Are we still blocked from editing our projects when our licenses expire?

Do we know anything about the standalone version of C3?

  • I heard about that news. If I'm using construct 2, can I compile in construct 3? Is there any option?

Yes, as long as you have a C3 license.

  • IntelXDK is discontinued. I suggest you use the official build system in C3 made and supported by Scirra.

  • While the idea is not that bad, Scirra just can't afford to spend resources on something like that. I believe it is more important to polish C3 and start working on the new runtime.

  • Hello

I updated my first post with the new Construct 3 Version

    Awesome. Thank you.

  • LukeW Are you working on projects with your students that exceed the free edition's limits?

  • What's the best way for me to share the project here? Screenshot? I don't see a way to post attachments here.

You'll have to upload the .capx file to a 3rd party storage (for ex. Dropbox, Google Drive) and copy the link here without the https://www part since the forum won't let you post links because your account is new.

  • It also depends on the level of your programming and algorithmic thinking skills. If you are a beginner in the topic, C2/C3 will be a great tool to teach you algorithmic thinking, but it will take time (just as with any other tool). If you are a seasoned developer, you might want to try your luck with Unity or UE4 as well to see which one fits your needs the most.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • I'm importing png images to the background but they get a fine line in the transparent part of the image when I use them as tiled background, has anyone had it?

I don't think I encountered the problem before, but showing a screenshot of the problem might get you help faster.
