I'd love to hear some official information about Scirra regarding this plugin.. They said it months ago that they're waiting for a 3rd party update to complete. Is this still the case? Steam support is very important and without MadSpy we'd only have an outdated experimental plugin. Can you please tell us something about this Ashley ? Don't leave us hanging please. It would be better than nothing to have a temporary export option that would export the game with this combination:

Awesome! It works with SDK 1.36 + nw.js 0.13.2 + greenworks 0.13.0. No black screens, no any problems, achievements works fine!

  • zapmore If you ever get stuck with exporting, just create a topic on the forums and you'll get help for sure. I myself didn't use any plugins for my mobile projects, so I can safely say that exporting a game without those plugins works like a charm.

  • I think you should bundle the source with the game for your customers if you really want to share it, just state that they can open and play it, but they require the paid version of C2 to edit it. This shouldn't be a problem since you are selling the game and the source is just an extra they get.

  • As far as I know it's not possible. But someone might have a good workaround for you.

  • Looks great, nice work. I'd be interested in this template too if you make it.

  • I'm glad to see this technology develop and even better if C3 will support it at some point. We'll see how it turns out. How long can we expect to wait for this technology to mature? 2-3 years?

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • Can you translate the error as well?

    * - Disable collisions for objects that don't need it. (Personally I think this should be disabled by default)

Great list. However I think disabling collisions by default should be a setting for the editor for those who prefer it.

As I said before, I say it again. It's always a good idea to try out other engines and see how they fit your needs. Just keep in mind that there are other aspects for creating a game than just pure performance. If you chose a native engine and get +4 FPS while you game takes +6 months to create, does it worth it?

  • Give it a go and see for yourself. I did use the 2003 and XP versions a long ago, but I prefer to have the option to create anything I want. I just find RPG Maker too limited for my taste.

edwardr Thanks for sharing your experiences.

  • If I recall there were at least 2 iframe plugins made by the community. You might want to check them out.

  • I'm not sure, but can it be done with a Cordova plugin? Sound like your request is more reliant on the wrapper, rather than the engine. But I might as well be wrong.

  • mahdi71 Please, if you do find some bugs in the engine, report them: . With this, you'll help the developers, the engine, the community and even yourself.

As for big games made with C2, check out this topic:

  • 1 - You don't need a dedicated server if you plan on using the built in multiplayer plugin since it's based on peer-to-peer technology and uses Scirra's signalling server. If you want to, you can choose a different approach. Some of the developers here made custom servers for their games with Node.JS. Keep in mind that multiplayer is one of the hardest features in a game so I'd recommend some testing before you jump into any big projects.

    2 - Can't say anything about that.

3 - Maybe with some 3rd party plugin. I'm not sure this can be done with the vanilla C2.
