  • Short answer is no.

Your main performance issues are fillrate and number of objects with behaviors.

  • Here is a game I'm making for the Ouya for when Cocoonjs supports it:

Wild Cow will be a game in which you play as a cow which stands on two feet, and fights alien cats. It will be similar to Mario or Sonic games. Instead of jumping on enemy's heads, you punch them. Drinking a soda will also cause a powerup in which you fly and shoot fireballs.

Unlike most platformers, this game won't be using a Lives system. Rather than limiting you to a number of lives, instead, better players will wish to complete levels quickly simply to get the best Time. Every time you lose, your previous progress is counted on the Time unless you completely reset the level.

  • When you run a C2 game in Chrome, I know that only a single processor core is utilized for the game. However, I was just wondering that if Ouya gets supported by Cocoonjs, and I port it to the Ouya, will it only take advantage of one of the four cores of the Ouya's Tegra 3?

So in other words, are C2 games always ran on a single processor core or are there exceptions to this?

  • I need someone to work with me to get my game on the Apple App Store. Phonegap or Appmobi should in theory work, but with Phonegap I have gotten on virtual mac osx and signed the software and the .ipa won't work when I sync my iPad. With Appmobi, I had a com.companyname.companyname.appname problem which prevented me from building. The game works fine when syncing through wi-fi on my iPad, I just need it built. I am about to give up. I have a registered Apple developer account.

I am willing to pay $40 for a completed project.

  • I came across an old article that may still contain some relevance today - jeff-vogel.blogspot.com/2009/04/indie-games-should-cost-more-pt-1.html

    Continuation of the article: jeff-vogel.blogspot.com/2009/04/indie-games-should-cost-more-pt-2.html

Do I agree with it? Yes and then some. For the tl:dr, what it's saying is that indies should charge more for their games, and apparently makes the point that they are basically in the race for the cheapest games which won't really benefit them in money made, while commercial games really aren't.

  • Is it possible to change the .exe icon on a node-webkit generated c2 game? I'm thinking about distributing my game on PC and want to make every nifty addition possible before I do so. If you can't, oh well, but I am hoping you can.

  • I can direct you to a guy who is decently priced but I have to be honest, that sounds like a lot of art for the amount of money. I'd expect to pay $5 a background and $10 a sprite with a lot of animations.

  • I had a game file I made at one point with some of these things, in Construct Classic, but sadly I no longer have it.

Is this paid work? That's some pretty complex stuff you want done. It would probably take me hours to do it.

  • If I had to name a price, I'll do it for $50. It's really hard for me to name a price but it's what I'd be comfortable doing it for, and I'm assuming there might be a slightly complicated thing or two in it.

I still need to be able to contact you some way though. I need your Skype or email address.

I don't do graphics though. I hope you're providing some of some kind.

  • PM'd.

I have the full version of C2 and here is a game I'm working on: construct.net/en

  • mineet - I'm really sorry about my confusing you. But consistency isn't something that I have had so far. It has been more about making quick decisions and going with them.

Also, the reason why changing or making art takes money is because my artist works on a freelance basis. Usually larger games ask for funding and smaller games don't. The scale of my game is somewhere in between those two.

  • blackhornet is trying to help you.

I don't understand why money is needed to change areas of the game. Everyone else seems to be able to make changes without money..I've only been on this site a few days and the one thing I have learnt is that most of the other developers have a solid or fully working game before asking for money.

And I will take his suggestions. :)

  • I see Kyatric changed the title on this thread. I won't change it back or anything but just so you know, this was suppose to be a competition with some free stuff. I still link to my donations page though because I am desparate to try to improve this game and doing so takes money I don't have.

I can still take suggestions but I have woked hard with beta testers throughout the process of this game, and any absolutely major suggestion would tend to cost money, but only if it involves art changes or additions.

  • Yes. Maybe I should.

But let's focus on the game instead of the what ifs which really don't matter since nobody bought the prizes I had before I restructured the prizes.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • why not put the demo of the game on rockethub where you are asking for funding. There seems to be confusion with the prizes. One minute there is a prize of 'villian' which isn't mentioned on rockethub and isn't mentioned on this thread. Very confusing.

I still offer the villain prize for $70 to Construct 2 members but I actually took it down to avoid confusion. It simply doesn't translate well to a rockethub prize since there can only be a quantity of one.
