  • While I may also "want" a Nexus 10, there are reasons why I can't buy one with my own money. While some game development costs, I can cover myself. If you want more details on this, I can pm you.

I pretty much do need an artist. My art skills are too impractical. My artist isn't perfect but he is better at art than me, I think.

I actually might buy you a monitor if I had the money to spare. It doesn't matter to me that you would want rather than need it. More people need to ask for things in my opinion, and a monitor probably isn't a silly request in my opinion.

Why should you buy me a Nexus 10? Well I can post a review of it with my iPad 4 comparing the two. Then in the coming months, if I can and have the time to make a benchmark, I will post a Construct benchmark of the two. But I can't guarantee that, I want to but it just depends on whether I have the time and stuff.

  • So have you guys been able to do 60 frames per second at 2048x1536 on an iPad 3/4? That would be impressive if so.

  • I prefer spending long periods of time on games. But then again, if you spend a long period of time on it and people don't like it, it can be disheartening.

  • Sounds interesting. But it won't let me read it.

  • I listen to upbeat Christian music.

  • I saw a game once which used 2D sprites in a top down view to give the coordinates for fake 3d when the 3d is produced.

  • About the game not working well, we'll pretty much copy a few of the mechanics of a game which got positive feedback on here, Decision Remark 2: scirra.com/forum/decision-remark-2_topic39197.html

You can't play it anymore but it did get good feedback from scifidave. I will also greatly try to address his concerns.

  • There are reasons why I probably won't be able to buy that Nexus with my own money. I thought about explaining them but meh.

While you guys do have a point about not needing the Nexus now, I also enjoy technology and having it now would give me more time to enjoy it. But it's your hard-earned money and I can kind of see how this is going where no one wants to spend hard-earned money on this.

Our artist actually might need a computer and if I get enough money, the money will also be spent on that. But he is such a guy that he will make me get the money for what I want first before he'll allow me to do anything.

I just wish that I could offer you a bit more with your potential to donate.

Also this is a small detail, but you guys have probably funded Kickstarter projects, many of which didn't meet their goal and lost the money. But if you fund mine, I will actually get money either way. It may not matter to you but just an observation.

  • My code with Construct 1:

I can also do better for it. It wasn't framerate-independent.

  • Just to show that I've worked on things, here is a picture of a game I made about two years ago:

[pic removed because it was crappy]

This new game should be better. I was doing the graphics for the game in the picture, and I'm not very good. But now we have a dedicated artist. Plus I didn't pay a lot of attention to certain things - my games should look and be better now.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • I'm typing on an iPad right now so don't expect much until I get on my computer, but my technical papers call for 3 different types of ogres as enemies, one troll, one berserker enemy, one ghost and one ghoul. For dungeon bosses, there is a troll boss, a dragon, a fire tree, and a dark knight. It wouldn't be inaccurate to call this game a beat-em-up, but the dungeons will also have puzzles like the puzzles in Golden Sun. There are 1-2 of us, me who is more of a programmer and a busy friend who is more of an artist.

  • Since it has been brought up, I'll work on having some more info and some stuff to see up soon.

  • There is a game called Isles of Min on the iTunes Store that we would like for our game to resemble.

  • There's no screen shots, concept art, and only a vague description of the overall basis of the game. I think you need to provide more details before asking for money. Especially if its for a tablet. You should invest in a concept artist first or something. Design the game first before testing on final devices.

Sorry about the lack of screenshots. We're having some problems with our artist, or our artist is having some problems, I should say.

  • We're asking for donations for our Construct project. Here it is: rockethub.com/projects/13326-ipad-4-game-warriare

I already have an iPad 4. If you pay for a Nexus 10 for us, I will post a review on this website comparing the iPad 4 to the Nexus 10, so you guys have a better idea of which is best.

I've made some Construct games in the past and have shown people on this forum, but I've since taken them down. Games such as "Decision Remark". They were average. But I did get a point or two from the feedback I got on them.
