  • I think it would be cool if users could have a referral code to invite friends to Subscribe to Construct 3, as I have done. This would encourage costumers to bring in new subscribers which would be good for Scirra business and some kind of reward for the ones sharing and/or using the code would be much appreciated. A discount on the yearly subscription, or adding an extra month or two on the plan would be nice.

    Who agrees?

  • thanks for pointing that out as well

    I did add the suggestion

  • Is there a practical way to disable Fade behavior?

Instead of having to set fade in/out/wait time every time, why not just have a enable/disable fade as an action option? I mean, there is an enable and disable option on the editor properties for the Fade behavior, why not having this option in the actions to have control over this directly?

Imagine if there was no enable/disable action for platform behavior, every time you need it to "disable" you would need to configure jump strength, gravity, etc to simulate disable, and then configure it again to the right number when you need it to platform again... this is what using the fade behavior is right now...

am I missing something too obvious here?

  • I got it to work as I wanted using this setting:

    Thanks

  • well, the thing is that I cant toggle (true/false) again "showcards" automatically after 5 seconds... won`t work... I tried replacing the local variable to a global but also couldnt get it right...

do you have a suggestion to make this:

on touch object > toggle "show cards" (card faces visible)

    wait 5 sec

toggle "show cards" (hide card faces)

It is something simple, but I think to make this the whole action has to be changed and maybe use another variable...

  • Hey, I want to add a button, using touch behavior, to act as a card face revealer on the Card Memory Match Template, on the example browser. So the idea is to have an option for the user to reveal all cards and also that the cards turn back face down after a few seconds...

In the template, there is already a key to reveal all card using the key "S". I tried changing that action to use a touch action but then it doesnt work... Also if I add a "wait 5 sec" and then toggle again the ShowCard local variable, the action stops working from the beginning, now showing the cards at all...

    Can someone help?

The template you find on the example browser, but here`s a copy:

    drive.google.com/file/d/14GxXcCjX5tJnrW6yAJtx_MSmvtfVuPG1/view

The basic idea is to have an object that will fly around the screen once in a while and when the user touches it, destroys it, and the cards are revealed for only a few seconds, adding some ease to the game.

  • Hey, someone could give me quick guide of what other softwares I would need to use in order to implement this SDK into Construct 3 ?

    wiki.appodeal.com/en/android/get-started

Back in 2017 Appodeal had a plugin for Construct but they stopped supporting it... Too bad, Appodeal handles all main ad networks in just one account, so you dont have to be a AdMob slave

How would I configura build.gradle? Is that in android studio? And to edit android manifest as well?

If I export my project to Android Studio, will I be able to implement this SDK or will I need other sofwares?

    Thanks anyone

  • Good for you. I am having that same issue with this new beta release...

  • lionz I added to the discussion the fact that it's not a good idea to simply create a new ad on the start of layout, I got an ad serving limit from adbmob for doing that, then another user suggested creating it using a condition to test if the ad is not loaded yet, only because I revived the post, so the "pretty much resolved post" was updated with new and relevant information and better solution. It's called a "community forum" because that's how it's supposed to work. Most solutions and topics can be evolved and if one really care about improvements, questioning "closed solution" should be welcomed, no matter how old they are, things are constantlly changing.
