  • Hi,

    I am running my second campaign on kickstarter now that my first game is in the alpha testing phase. This campaign is a little different as its main focus is on creating a series of anime styled graphic novels.

    But I also intend to create a fun dating sim style game in construct 2 once the graphic novels are complete as well as a platformer game in the same universe of the novels as well.

    I have so far included one of the games in my stretch goals list:

    Anyway please take a look at the kickstarter campaign and if you like what you see... pledge as there will be a game coming for the series eventually whether we hit the stretch goal or not. But the closer we get the quicker it will be.

  • mineet: thank you, development is moving along nicely now, and the art assets are coming in, so far on target with my goals :)

    Blinx123: As noted in my response i wasn't referring to the cost of setting up a company in the UK, but to setting up a company in the US before Kickstarter came to the UK. As a UK citizen I didn't need to set-up a company in the UK so I don't know what that cost would be. It may be cheaper than setting up in the US, but it may not be.

  • Spatial Flux Kickstarter campaign has now completed

    And it was successful raising around 220% of its original target.

    The final game will now include a player developed 3 act second campaign, a mini campaign and a 4 act primary campaign. It will also have crew upgrades and a sandbox mode. All thanks to the stretch goals that were reached.

  • Hi all, in the final 24 hours of the campaign now, things have gone well and we are now onto the 4th stretch goal.

  • Hi everyone, in the final days of the campaign now, just 4 days left, have now reached the second stretch goal. with a few more still available and a range of extra bonus rewards now available.

    The game will also now be developed for Ipad and other Ios and Android devices after the final game has been completed.

  • Hey thanks for the comments, glad you like the look of it.

    I loved the tagline when i initially chose it, but now i look at it and wonder if others will like it lol, so its good to hear someone else like it heh.

    I am considering adding some kind of log to the game so you can read back your decisions, maybe using arrays etc. But your idea is interesting ;)

    I am currently working on a new playable demo of the game, which I aim to finish tomorrow evening. Which I will then use to create a new video ready for the last week of the Kickstarter campaign.

  • I am currently working on the early alpha build of Spatial Flux:

    "A mashup of 2D space adventure games and the Choose your own adventures of old, with a healthy dose of Rogue-like elements and Pixel Art."

    <img src="http://www.face2palm.com/images/kick/sflux.jpg" border="0">

    Spatial flux is a new text based adventure game.

    Combining multiple complex text based decisions with on screen responses and consequences. You will take command of the Artemis Spaceship after the destruction of Earth, trying to find the Fabled colony of Haven and a new home for your crew. You will have to make the decisions that will result in survival and success or death and destruction for your ship and crew.

    <img src="http://www.face2palm.com/images/kick/kick1.png" border="0">

    Each event will be randomily chosen from a selection of hundreds, each event will require you to make multiple decisions each with randomised and permanent consequences, to ensure every game will be a unique experience.

    <img src="http://www.face2palm.com/images/kick/kick2.png" border="0">

    Traversing the Universe

    Your vessel has a drive system called 'The Flux' which allows for super fast travel in the universe. This is how you are able to hunt for the 'fabled' colony: The drive system however is flawed and requires you to drop into normal space from time to time to recharge it.

    It is at this point when you will encounter random events, strange phenemona and new civilisations.

    Spatial Flux is currently in early alpha, but we are working with Buko studios and Forte sounds and are already loving the game that is slowly being developed.

    We are seeking further funding on Kickstarter right now. We have reached our primary target and are now close to our first stretch goal. I have some big plans for the game, so if you like what you see at all please help support the game.

    You can find many more details on Kickstarter:

    Alternatively we are now offering a PayPal option for those who cant use Kickstarter:

  • Hey all,

    At the moment there isnt a company you can simply hire to act as the middleman between you and kickstarter. There have been attempts in the past to make this work. But so far kickstarter and amazon (in the US) or their payment provider (UK) have squashed any attempts to do this.

    So the only way to do it at the moment is to become a registered UK company with a UK bank account or become a register US company with a US bank account. If you do these things then you can create an account on Kickstarter to act as if you are a UK or US company.

    Before Kickstarter came to the UK I considered doing this but the cost, even if you do it yourself is easily above the 2000 mark.

    As Blinx123 said the typical way people get on kickstarter from other countries is by having friends or families who reside in the UK and they trust them to setup their account for them.

    However a few people have run campaigns doing this and said it has caused problems, because you have to be able to completely trust the person whose account you used. E.g. if you setup a game and it raised (unlikely) 1 million, could you trust your friend to give you all the money.

    If they didnt give you the money you would have no legal way to force them. And your reputation would get trashed with the potential bad publicity. Anyway just a thing to think about if you go the friend route.

  • Hi all, a quick update, Spatial Flux has now exceeded its primary goal. And is now working towards its first stretch goal.

    I have also added the game to Steams Greenlight service. Just to gage interest based on the current basic images from the early Alpha build I am working on.
