  • Hi,

I was just wondering about the facebook plugin for Construct2... does that include the neccessary parts to allow a construct2 game to accept Facebook coins to pay for items in an in game shop.

If so does anyone know how to add such to it? so that you could potentially monetise a construct 2 game on facebook.

  • Hello again probably another obvious question to answer.

I am currently working through the tutorial on adding leaderboards to a game.

    scirra.com/tutorials/259/easily-add-leaderboards-to-your-game/page-2

    On this page, it says:

First we update the player score text using the 'Score' variable. We can access it because it is global (shared across all event sheets).

Followed by a for loop, to go from row 2 to the last one and create the text fields along the way. The row variable is very important to set because we will use it again later to know which row should show which score.

    ---

I have done the score text, but can anyone give me more information on how to setup for the for loop. Also in the image below this it shows the creation of a 'local number' I know how to setup a global number on the event sheet but I cant seem to find any information on this tutoiral or other tutorials on how to create the local number.

Any tips and answers to this would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

  • Ah I see now, you can combine two events into one, that makes sense.

Thank you, I should be able to add that without difficulty now.

  • hi, thanks, that's what I thought.

I have already set a global variable in exactly the way you said, but I cant work out how to set it so that it checks if the variable is zero and if it is stops you from firing so a quick example of that would be very handy.

  • Try Construct 3

  • Hi everyone, a quick question which I cant find an answer for and fear i am being monumentally stupid.

In the game I am building you have two main weapons, left mouse button fires bullets, right mouse button fires missiles.

I want to limit it so that you only have 3 missiles and when they are used you cant fire anymore... Can anyone tell me how to do this or point me to where its explained.

Thank you in advance for any help.

P.s. Have played with a lot of game making tools in the past year+ and this one is truly the best one I have encountered. Hoping I can use it from now on.
