  • Hi,

I am running my second campaign on kickstarter now that my first game is in the alpha testing phase. This campaign is a little different as its main focus is on creating a series of anime styled graphic novels.

But I also intend to create a fun dating sim style game in construct 2 once the graphic novels are complete as well as a platformer game in the same universe of the novels as well.

I have so far included one of the games in my stretch goals list:

Anyway please take a look at the kickstarter campaign and if you like what you see... pledge as there will be a game coming for the series eventually whether we hit the stretch goal or not. But the closer we get the quicker it will be.

  • P.s. we are 3 days in and at about the 40% mark so a good start. :)

  • Hi everyone, my kickstarter is now close to its second stretch goal.

If anyone is interested in Japanese style dating sim games, then I have also posted a prototype of the dating sim game being created rather easily I might add in C2 onto the campaign.

    http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/ajtilley/swords-of-edo-graphic-novel

Check it out on the latest update.

The game will include two versions a safe all ages version and an adult version with the typical ecchi content you would find in a game of this kind. The prototype can also be played here:

  • Hey all,

    last update.

We are now in the final 30 hours or so of the campaign, the game's stretch goal for funding has been reached, we are now at over 300%.

We have also raised enough funds to increase the size of the graphic novels and create a full colour vinyl figurine.

More stretch goals available, but the main thing is that the game will be created now, so if interested then check it out here while you can :)

  • Hey guys! I'm actually putting a Kickstarter together right now, I hope this is the best place to post this, and there's also a demo of the game up as well!

Sword N Board is a top down adventure game thats retro inspired with focus on exploration and puzzle solving!

In Sword 'N' Board you play as Sidd, a kid with an active imagination! You will battle your way through imaginary enemies, cardboard forests, dark pillow fort dungeons and solve challenging puzzles in order to find the pieces of your lost video game console!

Currently there is an active Kickstarter for Sword N Board thats available for backers, as well as a playable demo!

You can find the Kickstarter here:

    kickstarter.com/projects/817647846/sword-n-board-your-adventure-is-his-imagination

And you can find the PC demo here:

    kickstarter.com/projects/817647846/sword-n-board-your-adventure-is-his-imagination/posts/559210

    Thanks for checking it out!

  • So does the money from kickstarter go to covering the costs of dev kits for game consoles, or paying publishing fees?

Reason I'm asking is I'm starting to see more and more that Greenlight may not be the way to go for my finished project.

  • <center>Breakout Hero

    <center>Goal: $1,000

Thanks for taking some time to read about my Kickstarter campaign. I am working on an indie game called Breakout Hero which is a breakout clone with RPG elements and set in a fantasy world. Creating a video game from scratch is a lot of work and even more so when there is one person doing all of the graphics, coding, design, publishing, marketing, etc. This is the case for Breakout Hero which is being developed by Levelo, a start-up I founded early this year. I have been working on Breakout Hero for close to 9 months now, since last year and I have run out of personal fundings at this point which is why I need your help. I am asking for $1000 for my Kickstarter Campaign which will allow me to hire a pixel artist with some money left over for marketing fees and publishing fees. With a successful campaign I feel confident that I will be able to release Breakout Hero as a professional indie game at the end of this year, December 2013 which is my current goal. There are a ton of great prizes for our backers including the Breakout Hero game for free and with early access.

For more information on Breakout Hero and our Rewards please visit my Kickstarter Campaign here: kickstarter.com/projects/725907213/breakout-hero

We also have a free demo for you to play which is also linked in the Kickstarter page.

I have also posted 2 updates since I created my campaign, adding a combo system and achievements to the game. I spent an entire weekend implementing those so people who play the free demo can enjoy them as well! Please check it out and have fun. Thank you to all of my supporters, backers, and fans of Levelo. Have a great rest of your day everyone.

  • Hi I have posted before about this when it was part of my previous campaign, my backers have all voted for me to do a dedicated campaign for a Swords of Edo visual novel game.

    http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/ajtilley/swords-of-edo-visual-novel-game

More artwork for the series has now been completed and we have already exceeded our primary goal on the campaign. Which will ensure a bigger better game will be created. Our stretch goals are now there to raise more funds for voice acting and better battle scenes.

Breakout heroes look really nice but i think you should put it on game jolt, kongregate, newgrounds etc... and monetize via ad share, i think this kind of game really fits well in those channels because of the replayability your game have :)
