  • This is just great, and the comments are worth reading as well!

(that said, I am now going to edit a thing or two in my story...)

  • The Bespectacled one just made my day ^^

I think I'll be developing the Celtic Ostrich Empire soon!

  • I think it's not a bad thing to give words away as concepts for people to grasp. Everybody will have a different vision of how it comes out, and it will benefit everyone, me included...

    italian plumbers

    fallen angels

    lucha libre

    heist

    flying city

    giant worms

    killing bees

    fishing rods

    magic beans

    rebel princess

    rogue sailor

    spaceship races

    ...

none of this will make a game, but you see the images already, don't you?

  • Get the Witcher.

The price should be lower by now, and if you like it (and you will), youcan get the witcher 2 that got out this year.

Mature story, good gameplay, and honest difficulty (not a one button/god mode Skyrim).

  • ...so we stop polluting Pyteo's one.

I adviced not to get a Wacom bamboo, because the new surface is eating the pen nibs as fast as using graphite pencil on it.

My first nib lasted 5 hours of normal usage. I have 4 nibs left in the pack... I tried using the nibs that I still have with my intuos3 (dead after a fatal crushing during a moving), thinking I changed my nib ONCE in 3 years with this one.

Same result, the nib was going very fast (slower than the black one provided with the bamboo, but maybe I was more careful).

I am in Malaysia, ordering nibs by packs of 5, with 5 nibs per week is not possible. So i checked on Wacom forums for solutions. Wacom is not giving any comment, and seems intuos 4 got the same problem until they change their surface mid year 2011. Not sure it solved the problem.

Anyway, I found good advices from users: tape or laminate the surface with a plastic sheet or create a paper holder... or if you like the eating-nib surface, create your own nibs with toothpicks !!

Well, I taped mine, looks DIY and cheap but so far I am using the same nib since two weeks.

  • That looks awesome!

I dun understand what are the chrome sliders for, but I want it already!

  • And if you use a tablet, don't get a Wacom bamboo, unless you're willing to tape it to save the pen nibs...

Pyteo, what about Yokai? You still develop it aside?

  • First one got the 4 ponies in the middle, and 4 zeros, but the 2 zeros on the right are not in the corner, kinda floating

    <img src="http://dl.dropbox.com/u/38398861/ponies.jpg" border="0" />

    Second one seems to work.

  • Awesome work, I definitely need something like that... any pages to preview?

  • Yes, i have access. I think we may want to have google docs in parallel for data sheets and documents, they can be edited in real time by everyone and can be good if we all use a different color. I'm thinking lists of crafts for example.

Else, I got a word with Quazi about the engine and graphics, the idea would be to use the piggy as universal scale (one character = 2 piggies) and try to insert our arts in a screenshots for perspective check.

Stylewise, Quazi told me my avatar style would work, and Sol mentioned bitejacker as reference (which happen to be a zombie game as well: bitejacker.secretbase.com.sg/), so i believe we start to get the idea.

I did one that was too detailed, you'll see it in the dropbox.

  • It's great! I really like the demo!

Though I would like to have the choice not to invert the controls when inverting the gravity to the ceiling... to keep them environment related, not player related.

I got stuck in the room with the flipping switches, I don't understand what is to be done.
