  • Are you going to work on these projects some time in the future?

Or would you use public funding again?

    I still don't know...

    I'll probably start something new.

  • Cool project, how long did it take?

    Thanks ;)

It took about a week, in my free time...

  • Don't get me wrong, but I think Stencyl is way ahead in this "race".

I've been using construct classic for years now, and I was planning to move to C2, but "Html5 only" is a very limited thing.

Stencyl exports to all kinds all platforms, exe, app, flash, ios, and in the future android and html5.

That makes all the difference. What do gamedevs want? To reach the larger audience they can.

Even Classic is becoming obsolete because Game Maker and MMF have several different export options.

  • Why did you abandon this game? This game has great potential in itself, has great graphics and I played very well on it. Many developers are dreaming of such a project like this. ;]

Oh well...I always dislike my projects after spending some time working on them. They never seem good enough. I gess I have to stop thinking like that or I'll never finish anything...

While browsing my hard drive for pixel art to update my portfolio I found this one.

There's not much to do, it's only the base engine and the very beginning of the level.

Anyway, I just felt like sharing it :)

    Z: jump

    X: Sword

    C: shuriken

Note: My anti-virus warned me about the file, but there is absolutely no problem with it.

  • blot_alpha_demo.exe was removed and blocked by my virus scanner saying it was "High Risk".

    Anyone else having any issues?

    I can assure it's no virus :)

  • decent pixel-art!

    Thanks ;)

  • Bummer. Don't get me wrong but do you guys really NEED funding to develop these games? They're relatively small and, cmon, you're using Construct :P On top of that you could probably find more people to help out. Hell I (and others) offered but you seemed to have everything under control ;)

These were being developed in my free time. It's hard to keep motivation this way. I work as a game artist, and after a day of work I feel to tired(and so does my parner) to keep working in the computer. Fulltime development is a complete different thing, and it was our goal.

  • This is best method for "perfect pixel" fullscreen I've tried in Contruct.

Especially because it doesn't affects the layers "paralax", since it doesn't uses Zoom.

Thanks a lot for sharing. I'm currently using it in a game. I'll give you credit if I ever get to release it.

    Keep it up ;)

  • Thanks ;)

  • Hi guys;)

I'm currently working in a very low-res game(240X160) and there's something I would like to know.

Is there any advantage in using the old "magic pink" for transparency instead of creating the PNG with Alpha?

    Thanks ;)

  • Thanks a lot for your feedback guys ;)

  • Hello fellow constructors!

I would like to know your opinion on something.

What is, for you, the ideal length for an indie game? We all know know that depends on the genre so let's say for example, an "arcade shooter" and a "platformer"...

    Thanks ;)
