  • maybe im not understanding the problem, but if you have an animation for shooting with both hands, you only have to assign two different image points for bullets spawn and sinchronyze thems with corresponding animation frames

  • Problem Description

    I'm trying to get video to play in my game that is exported with Phone Gap Build but it does not work on devices with iOS 11, nothing is shown. It works on earlier versions of iOS though. It also works when I publish it as a HTML5 website and try it on my iPhone with iOS 11 Safari, but I need it to work as a Cordova exported app!

    I guess it's the same as this? https://github.com/Scirra/Construct-3-bugs/issues/895

    It seems to have been fixed in Construct 3 r61, but not in Construct 2?

    Steps to Reproduce Bug

    • Export as Cordova.
    • Build with Phone Gap Build.
    • Install on device with iOS 11.
    • Try to play the video.

    Observed Result

    Nothing happens.

    Expected Result

    Video should play.

    • Chrome: (NO)

    i think is'n not a bug, try to move your .mp4 file into "Video" folder, then export the project. should be work.

    Here you go. This is basically what dop2000 mentioned earlier.

    I increased the width of the layout so you have more room to actually see the shots. Also, I'm destroying the bullets when they travel at least the minimum distance between bullets outside of the layout. Because we need the last bullet to be alive in order to calculate when to spawn the new one.

  • ok i found now work. simply move the video file from "Files" to "Video" folder on the project directories on the right of the editor (exporting thei make the "Media" subfolder on nw.js project directory)

    don't forget to put the name on the video propoerties too

    and, last thing, if you have set "autoplay yes" i think is useless call it on start of layout events

  • It's a 100mb file, i thinks it's a okay size. I'll convert all the videos in the project and send to you. Adn thank you! You're saving my life!

    100MB of project is too much for me, I should also upload it again.

    did you convert videos to .ogv? make a screen of how you configured the plugin to start the video or make a reduced .capx to use as a test

    You need to calculate the delta from the player's position. So store the last X and then move the bullets by the same amount. May not look right in the sample, but try it with your flames.

  • understood. it download automatically the version you choose on that export option menu.

    however i just tried to export a project in nw.js from C3 with a .ogv video and it works perfectly

  • most likely it is related to the bug I have been reporting for a long time and which afflicts as much C2 as C3 being on 8dir behavior

    in any case, also leave your sprite 16x16 and lower the collision box a few pixel
