  • Two Tile Maps, one with a solid behavior for walls, one without a solid behavior for floors.

    i suggest you to make an invisible little sprite call him Spawn then clone it a dozen of times, and place them around your map at wher you wish to spawn points for your enemys. then when you want to spawn programm events something like spawn enemy random "spawn object x,y"

  • hhi, im curious, how have you programmed tiles sprites? each diffrente from other or one single sprite with diffrent frames for tiles or tilemap?

  • Is there any way to loop through object types in a family? i.e. lets say I have a family, "Objects", with the following sprites: A, B, and C. I have 3 of A, 10 of B, and 1 of C.

    Objects

    A (x3)

    B (x10)

    C (x1)

    I'd like to run a loop on the Family "Objects" that for each object type, picks those instances and does something. If I run a normal For Each, it would loop 31 times. I'd like to find a way to loop 3 times, pick all of each object type - A, B, and C, one per loop - and does something to those objects.

    Possible?

    why don't you make 3 familys? FamA, FamB and FamC instead of "objectsFam"?

  • NN81 Yeah youre right. At the moment im also not verry happy about this version. But what do you mean with cel shaded light? I decided to leave out the old Tv filter from tge prototype. But what do you think about the light general? I will send you a gif soon.

    i mean that for lighted-area is better use something not antialiased, someghing pixelated or celshaded to preserve "toon style" of the game

    Hello guys,

    I did a lot in the last weeks and im sorry that i didnt update the post but i tried to make a bigger update and not a lot of small ones. SO i made a lot of graphics wich you can see in the picture. I tried to make a lighting system and I really need your feedback: Do you like this the circle and the whole light system or would you say its to much? I got diffrent feedback so i would be glad about your opinions.

    NN81 You are so right. Everyone has this periodes. And that is ok. But personly feedback motivates me every time, so i dont have so many of this periods. I hope you enjoy the update.

    as I see it, the light system, it can always be a double-cut weapon

    much depends on how you intend to implement it and exploit it, if it has a practical sense or wants to be just an VFX to create a bit of variety in the atmosphere of the game.

    anyway, for a detailed feedback you should see it at work, with a gameplay video or at least a small .gif

    from what i see in the photo the only thing I think is that with the AAcontrast a bit with the 'retro' style of the prototype, maybe I'd use a fx more pixelated, or cel shaded light.

    i am saving the game with save-game feature and then i am sending .json file to a server to save that progress,

    since the .json code is pretty large (even when i use no save feature with many objects),it takes a lot of time to send that data,

    thus i want to prevent unnecessary layouts from saving and contributing to the code.

    uhm, ok, I suppose you have already used no-save behavior on ALL possible objects .. I really do not know what else to do sorry

    you know the top letters in advance, so for example, you could make a system of variables that unlock as you press the corresponding key on the keyboard

    Dear members, I hope all is doing well.

    I'm looking for a reliable, and experienced game developer who will design a 3-level RPG for me from scratch within a time frame of 4-6 weeks.

    The game will be for educational purposes for kids (10-11 years) basic science stuff (plants, animals, and energy). Hence, the game isn't difficult. However, I would love the game to look cute, and nice in terms of graphics.

    I have a written document that details how I want the game to be you just need to transform that info into the game.

  • APK files are for Android. We don't build IPA files for iOS yet, but C3 can generate an Xcode project for you.

  • I'm probably the last of the old guard here. I tried to find the decade old thread dedicated to posting development videos but couldn't, so here goes.

    Shade: Prototype 012 is a cyberpunk shmup under development since fall 2014. The story tackles on sociological issues posed by technological development. Plenty of war machines and desert.

    It's one of the oldest large projects I've been involved in. The first iteration of Shade was made back in 2001. 2nd in 2004. 3rd around 2009-ish. We did a lot of work with Daiz (another jaded CC old-timer) on the project's various iterations over the years. This one is the fourth iteration and probably the last one at that, and this time it's all my work.

    To be honest the reason why I've been stuck with CC all these years is that I've been unable to create games like this in C2. I'm just that used to squeezing power out of CC.

  • I was working on a game but i stuck on the way here is the idea of the Game, is a platform game, when the character is ruining on the platform and there is a hole or obstacle on the road the player will click a button and the character will jump up and stick to top roof platform and continue ruining on the top roof platform and while is on the roof runing if the player meet another hoe on the roof the player press the same button and character jump down on the platform ad continue, if the player can play the game very well it continue like that, and score high but if fail and jump it the hoe either roof or platform then the character die and game over screen pop to restart the game here is a sample picture link for more understanding http://www.mediafire.com/file/fu0l611y2 ... sample.png i will highly appreciate any support

    in platform behavior you can change "gravity into -x value" to obtain the stick top roof effect, adding some edge sprites that changes gravity when you overlap them and jump when you want to invert all, sorry my english <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile">
