  • I think it's from the System object to add and remove an attribute from an object

  • Thanks C-7, I really like how that Blight game you're working on is looking as well =]

  • Ah, yeah you can't port them sadly, but the events would be very close in C2 =]

    Hope it helps out =D

  • I think that if you're using the same VRAM/image for the grass blades then the object count's shouldn't matter, but if you want to cut down you can check if the platforms are close to the screen..

When the platforms are near the edges of layouts you can then spawn the grass blades along them, then destroy the blades as they go far out of the screen.

  • Might be TunaUppercut, I'll be out of free time this weekend but maybe next week I can get you an example for that.

  • No problem and alright, have a good sleep Adriel000

  • Google Translate: Sorry, but I can not understand for serving the trigger event. Please, you can explain it to me?

Okay, the "Trigger once while true" means it only happens once when the button is not being pressed. I've inverted the "control is down" to make it mean "control is up"

But, whenever a layout starts, the "control is up" will trigger once, but never again until the control is next pushed down and released.

  • Ah I see, here is a fix. You can prevent it from triggering at the start of layout by having a variable "time" for each level and adding 1 to it every second. Then when the value is greater than 1 allow those events to run.

  • Thanks Gelidaer I hope you like it =] and ah, so I did! Thanks for that

  • Hi TunaUppercut, I've tried my hand at fixing what you have and working with the same variable system I came up with this: Wall Jump Fix Attempt

  • Can you upload the cap of what you're trying to do?

I Had Hope, a 2D top-down zombie shooter set in Alaska. Development started in December 2010 but after deciding on re-writing the engine for more features Alpha v0.5 has been released open source. Read more about it on the forum topic here.

  • I Had Hope is a top-down zombie game in development by myself and my friend Bioked since December 2010.

Having decided to make a new and better engine for the game, we have released the current version and source publicly.

Sadly, we will not be updating this branch of I Had Hope anymore, but feel free to suggest features that may make it into the next engine!

Download the game and source free from our website!

Edit Game.dcd in Notepad (drag it into an open notepad window) to raise your difficulty to something more challenging!

A few notable features, all in the source to show how it was done:

-External map loading, everything in a map is loaded on startup!

-External graphics loading, nearly all in-game graphics can be modded

-Many weapons and powerups, as well as weapon switching similar to COD

-Movable and static barricades which can be destroyed and repaired

-Achievements and unlocks per player profile

    -Combo system

-Zombie Rush, random missions to kill a lot of fast spawning zombies or lose by dying/taking too long

    -Special flame-trail zombies

-Variable strength throwing of flares and grenades

    -Xbox360 controller support

    -MOD and MP3 playback

-Melee attacks similar to Left4Dead push-backs

    -Title screen intro slides

Here are some screenshots of the game:
