  • I have also made lots of similar requests, including ability to print on paper. But I guess we will wait for C3.

Be liberal with the groups and you can also make group inside group. To me the group title and subtitle is more clear than just comments. Use different event sheets for different codes. Add the global variables to their own sheet.

Also you can space out the events, to make it more "airy", by adding empty comment rows.

  • The standardized iq test is usually about detecting patterns in graphic images.

I happen to be quite good at that one (I am Mensa member) and it has helped me much in my sewing pattern creation and similar fields.

But to make games you need knowledge and being good at math and logic. It is not enough just to know how to see patterns in graphics. I can attest to that. (I also hated math in school.. so I do not know much but I will try.. I am also more visual person! math equations make me sleep...)

But if you are *open to absorb* and make effort to read the manual, read the tutorials, open 40+ capx examples to examine them.. Really, time is the important aspect! Do you have time to put hours on learning? If not? Then maybe better not start. Yes you need to learn stuff even for Construct2. Yes it is easier to learn, but you still have to learn some.

Another suggestion is to invest in a good nice pen and paper! Draw, write... write the order of things that should happen. Try to break down in the way a computer would do it. It will make it easier. Also if you have problems with math/logic it helps to write down the numbers, draw graphics.... arrows, pointers.. visual aids!

  • Somebody

    Awesome, thanks.

Ah the eff... I limited myself from ***** Cuteness mixed with profanity!

  • Maybe I am nostalgic but I prefer this site. When it comes to looks. I think it is quite nice.

  • Maybe it could be filtered to allow scirra.com?

So there, now I made the numbers dynamic.

I wonder if you can help me verify that the level stays within its border (the chocolate border) and no white is seen nor it is too small.

    Compare level 1 with T2.

    Somebody - if you have time. <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile">

I hope this solution will work and not that it will eff up depending on which browser/system you use.

  • Welcome, it is crazy times now.

  • Did exactly same thing.

  • I have a single one:

    For....

in C2 you can state start and end number.. For 0 to 10..

I miss the Step (with default setting at 1)! Where you can type +2 so it will count up 0 2 4 6 8 10..

    or For 10 to 1, step -1 then it will go backward 10 9 8 7....

YES it is possible to add more event lines to make it go the way you like, but it would be better to make it simpler!

The "Step" I am referencing to is from my experience with basic.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • And if it is too much effort to create a new forum altogether, another idea is to create a new category here at this forum. C3 or future additions suggestions.

  • Tom I understand, I am exactly same myself. I do not want people to pay until I have made the items they ordered. Sure, in very different field, but still.

Good luck with the new version. Are you going to add a new forum maybe to collect all the C3/future discussions?

  • And some of Rexrainbow's stuff!

  • [attachment=0:3acg1eaj][/attachment:3acg1eaj]

Here's how I did it. (I guessed the numbers and it is correct for the level I am working on)

For other people wanting to use this: substitute the "smoothplayercam" for your sprite that you want to "follow".

do not forget disable/delete "Scroll To" behavior.

I need to go back to bed, but tomorrow I will figure out how to make the numbers dynamic so it will reflect

    for different level sizes.

This should be turned into a tutorial!

    Thanks!

    Nevermind, read next reply.

    (removed bla bla bla)

  • Coming back. Love this, I wish Scirra would contact you and include this in C2 as default.
