Construct3 seperate Website?

This is a single chapter about "Decision Science" strategy games from the "Construct Starter Kit Collection" workshop.
  • Why Construct3 has a different website? and if so, then all developer when C3 is finished is going to use that site?

Like all the forums and tutorials will be there?

  • No.

  • Construct4.com was taken

  • This C3 thread spam is getting a bit much. I really don't think we need a separate thread for every single reaction people have to the "news" that Construct 3 will one day be a thing.

For the record, I think Scirra needs a PR person to jump on this sort of stuff asap. Transparency is key here, else people who react before thinking will start running for the hills.

  • I think it's Scirra mistake, they talk about C3 before they have a beta.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads

A0Nasser I disagree. I think that this is the best time to begin advertising their product. They want to get information out as early as possible so as to achieve the highest spread of information. Beta or not matters little.

  • From my understanding, Ashley will start working on C3 and trying to get that going. I'm assuming that there will be a lot less updating of C2 so if that's the case, I can easily see why people are excited and talking about C3. I'm excited and I can't wait to see what c3 will offer. I think C2 is solid right now to create an extreme range of 2d games.

Yeah, I tend to agree with that

It is obvious that Scirra have already been doing some groundwork for C3 . . . . so maybe we need a new forum on C3 website, perhaps that will come in time. . . . .

  • maybe we need a new forum on C3 website, perhaps that will come in time. . . . .

t shouldn't be a completely separate website, though. I'd imagine it'll there'll be distinct sections, but segregating the community is the wrong way to go about it.

  • I suspect the C3 webstite will just hold the news, but as noted in the browser address bar. The primary website is Scirra. So C3 will be a intro page, but once through the intro you will get directed to Scirra.

Yeah, good point DatapawWolf, although it seams given the new site for C3 it is a possibility.

Could just add a C3 Forum to the current one for now though.....

Although also as jayderyu noted it could just be temporary site. But imo it already looks better than the current site.....

  • michael it looks better because they used a site template, I believe. But regardless, that's kinda the point. They have developed a front-end that requires little back end. Form over function. It's not meant to be a website that hosts and delivers content and user interactivity. It's meant to be a website that catches the eye of potential investors/users.

It will not be the host of all C3 related content.

And on a side note, look above at the URL you are currently on. Scirra.com, not Construct2.com.

  • For all we know it could be the host of an online editor.

If it is, pray its not service based.

  • Maybe I am nostalgic but I prefer this site. When it comes to looks. I think it is quite nice.
