  • You have to optimize for mobile like crazy. Also, since their hardware is weaker then an average PC, loading is also slower. I suggest you look aroung for posts like this: https://www.scirra.com/manual/134/performance-tips

  • I've uploaded the game to Scirra Arcade as well: https://www.scirra.com/arcade/adventure ... ndant-2814

  • I dont want to buy c2 on offical website becasue steam is cheaper than website. This program is really expensive in spite of this i want to buy

How is it cheaper on Steam? I just checked: Its 99.99 eur in the Scirra Store and on Steam as well.

  • Thank you for the answers So it seems blueprints win over Playmaker.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • I manage fine with a Lenovo G500 (i3-3110m, Radeon HD 8570m).

  • Good luck for you with your future projects.

Also, I want to ask a question for those who used UE4 and Unity + Playmaker: Which one is more easy to get into and use: blueprints or Playmaker?

  • C2 Devs who agree or disagree, please share your thoughts too

I haven't used any of the plugins above, but there has been several requests to include plugins offically (like MoveTo or Canvas). However there wasn't any offical statement about this, so it would be nice to at least know: Can we expect some plugins to be integrated? If not, why is that (not that I'm forcing it, I just want to know out of curiosity).

  • Let's change it up a bit, can anyone else in the C2 community upload a smooth running android game for me to test please?

It doesn't have to be uploaded to Google Play, you can also PM me the link to download it.

(Once again I'm just curious about that, I dont want to support any of the groups here.)

Wow, things got pretty instense in this topic in the past few days. Here's a great example of a mobile game made with Construct 2 (using Intel XDK):

  • Welcome here

  • norab: You can use Cordova directly through command-line.

    http://cordova.apache.org/docs/en/5.0.0 ... 0Interface

Of course, at first, it's a little overwhelming because you need to install every dependencies like

Android SDK to compile for Android, .NET Framework to compile for Windows, etc.

But I found that once that's done, it's easy to create a batch file that will compile the project easily.

The cordova command-line interface is very easy to understand (check the link above).

    I never had to use Intel XDK again. <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_wink.gif" alt=";-)" title="Wink">

    +1

  • If you really like construct 2 but with 3D feature, you can try GODOT ENGINE. Google it!!

As far as I know Godot is not a visual programming engine, so it's nothing like C2 with a 3D feature. That would be Q3D

  • Well, there are several. There is CopperCube 3D: http://www.ambiera.com/coppercube/index.html

You could give UE4 a try using their blueprint system (just keep in mind that it's a complicated engine).

And just as Danwood and mahdi71 said there are plugins for Unity3D as well for visual programming, like PlayMaker or uScript.

Visual programming methods spread rapidly. Soon even more engines will show up.

  • It's always good to see a success. Congratulations

  • but your c2 is a great software it can make billions you just not so serious about it

so i suggest you hire people and programmers to develop it and spend some money

i will promise you will get so much more then now

A business is not that simple. Scirra aimed for a gap on the market and made a very good software to fill it up: HTML5 game creation environment with visual programming. In my opinion it's fine to give suggestions for Scirra to let them see what the community wants, but at the end it's up to their will and opportunities how they manage their business.

  • here's a link to my alpha version of the game:

    https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/13675221/index.html

try it and see your performance in it. i will post full game once i'm done with it. but i've noticed quite a good improvement in performance while redoing my whole game, because my initial design (this link) was horrible.

Wow, nice game. How did you do the ship's turning animation? Did you use Q3D?

I tested your game on 3 computers using Chrome. Here are the results:

    Windows 10

    • i7 with AMD R9 270X: 60FPS (not suprising)
    • i3-3110m with Intel HD 4000 : 60-57 FPS

    Windows 8.1:

    • Core2Duo with Intel 4th series graphics (pretty old CPU/GPU): 26-35 FPS
