    The second one has more detail and better light, so yours seems empty.

    But it's ok if you make all the graphics yourself in the same style, then it will be whole!

    There is one more thing that the character that the game has a sprite size of 64*128 sprite is better to draw 128*256 and so insert into the editor and then in the editor to compress. So when scaling on screens with high pixel density lines will be smoother. Here's an example.

  • I think the "pro" vibe is due to artists using software that let's line art wisp away, like the eyebrows of the image you posted, they're just a 3 thickness line, doesn't trail off into thin line.

    You could still use paint and emulate this effect, although not ideal and makes it more preferable to get the right software (many of which are free) and equipment (drawing tablet so you can make those wispy lines instantly).

  • I never saw a game made with paint looking sprites. So I'm wondering, what am I doing wrong? my draw looks like they have been made on paint and when I see those made by other devs, that just look like it's smooth, well done. why my draw sucks? I'm trying to make it as smooth as possible with shadows effect that makes it look like more professionnel but there is not this "pro" looking, I don't get it.

  • okay I found out the problem.The first letter of zip folder was on caps which caused bug.

  • Is it possible that you have "Bundle addons" enabled in the old projects? In that case it could have bundled an old version of the addon, and the new version you have has a bug. When bundle addons is enabled, the old version is used instead of the newer one that's installed.

    I don't have bundle addons. The only addons I'm using is spriter

  • new bug : it duplicate  files on construct 3 when you drag and drop over an existing files. I have the latest version 22-2-2024 addon.

    I have a sprite that I can't animate on construct 3.

    I've put it in a new project on construct 3, it doesn't play animation.

    so I tried to put it in a project where I already had a spriter animation and, without adding any eventsheet, it works.

    actually, I just used a simple project that I have already made and it goes the same, it works.

    to be clear, when I create new project, animation doesn't work, otherwise with an old project, it works.

    ! It does not make sense... help me please

    I'm using usually event on construct but I'm about curious about learning javascript.

    So I decided to do a simple things. make a sprite named "monSprite" which can move.

    I just created a project, open a new script and copy/past a code on.

    I would like to understand, why is not working? I'm not using event. just put the javascript code and launch.

    error appears. failed to load the script.

    so, what can I learn?

  • as on thread you posted, I have same issues.

    I only use brashmonkey scml plugin but I tried with another game which use the same plugin and that's working fine.
