  • Set your bullet angle to

    player.angle+random(-15,15)

Tweak the numbers for desired effect.

  • I would use a boolean variable and the toggle function.

  • You could create something that looks like a browser, off the top of my head dynamic page lengths would be tricky.

The real question is why? It'd just be some UI and an iframe.

  • I miss the spam ;}

I'm having a rubbish day and that made me laugh - thank you.

And thanks to Tom for ending the Zerg rush.

  • In absolute seriousness now - just set the Newly Registered Users group to "Can ignore flood limit" - "Never".

Set flood limit to something like an hour.

  • Thanks! If you liked snk then you'll probably like SideWinder, which is another twist on snake - that'll be entering the line-up at some point!

Trophies have been added, so maybe you can beat everyone to a blue or green trophy haha.

ffman22 I'm not sure I understand? The app is only for mobile devices.

  • I've just realised Scirra gets 200+ regustrations a day, no way you'd want a team of 6(?) to deal with that.

Either stick with the NRU group permissions and let users with 1k+ posts approve/disapprove or use motionCaptcha.

Or ban Russia as an IP range, that's a depressingly effective tactic...

EDIT// Only just realised C2 could make a captcha - Newt just blew my mind. Haven't tested it but it'd be a bit bloated surely?

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • phpBB has the Newly Registered Usergoup for a reason - set the post limit to 1, turn post approval on. Each user will have to be manually approved, but that's 2 less ACP actions than it is currently and means the forum public will never see the spam.

  • This is just awsome! I had a dream of creating something like this myself but i got stuck pretty fast. This app works just great. I really hope this will break through. Good luck! I have shared this game to all my friends here in sweden if you wonder why the scoreboard is dominated by crazy swedes

Thanks for sharing! I assume you're the same DetteMan that's dominating the leaderboards? I'm quite certain you're also the first Rikstar!

Today's game (snk) was designed by me, and some of the scores absolutely blow my mind! 3743 is first place, my highscore is 777 (not even the top 30 and I made the game!) - how did you find it?

Noga That's a very interesting app! Have you tried Rikoshe? It's similar, but with a stronger emphasis on a focused competition, and of course prizes.

One thing I forgot to mention is that Rikoshe will match 10% of winnings and donate it to a charity of your choice - current charities are the Make a Wish Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, the World Wide Fund for Nature, and the American Red Cross.

  • I can personally vouch for Rikoshe - very professional publisher to work with.

    More about the app -

  • 1) It depends on what you're making.

    2) 10,000 hours of practice and study is the commonly held time frame.

  • Today has seen progress of sorts with the issue being re-allocated, though somehow I don't think a 6 month old problem will be fixed very quickly.

I've also only just realised why Google call the in-testing version of Chrome Canary...

  • For the past 9 months I have been contributing to an exciting new Android app called Rikoshe.

Rikoshe allows gamers to play a new game every day - ranging from maths based brain teasers to rapid pace action games. All of the games are easy to learn, allowing for the perfect pick-up and play experience. Each of these games are high-score based, and you compete in daily competition with gamers from all over the world.

This is where it gets interesting. You get one of the best high-scores - you win a prize. You like money? That's a prize.

For a playing game. When you're bored. For free.

How can we pay out cash prizes for a free game?

By showing you ads. We take the advertisement proceeds, and use a portion of them to pay out prizes to you if you are one of the top scorers.

In fact, that is our social contract with you. You get to play for free, we show you some ads, and you can win money and prizes. It’s that simple.

    No microtransactions. No pay-to-win.

This is the ultimate contest of skill. A global tournament that changes every day and in which the victors take home real prizes.

You can play it when you're on the bus, on the toilet, hell even when you're boss isn't looking - we won't judge.

The app has just launched, and I'd love it if you can check it out:

    Download - http://www.amazon.com/Rikoshe-Inc/dp/B0 ... ds=rikoshe

    About - https://www.rikoshe.com/about.html

    Contact - https://www.rikoshe.com/contact.html

Rikoshe is in it's embryonic stage - we currently aren't showing any ads whilst we grow the userbase. You will still earn cash however, we're just testing out the social aspects and building a following.

If you want to get more coins, invite your friends, and you both get a coin bonus! Don't like the game? There'll be a new one tomorrow!

    iOS version coming soon!

  • For those unaware and still following this request, Rojo's Chipmunk physics has collision filtering -

  • To my knowledge the only large scale mobile game is Mortar Melon - the rest were designed for desktop.
