  • The game looks and controls great!

    Keep it up!

Love how the alien tilts as he flies. Maybe less extreme of an angle?

    Particle effects all look great

    Camera looks good too

Level transition and related screens have all the base elements.

    Solid!

Can't wait to see the next major update!

  • Thanks Rudi55!

Yes, they are placeholder graphics that I cooked up.

I reached the point of development, where I could take it one of two ways. Commit to creating all of the art assets myself over 3 or 4 years. Or hire a team and finish the game for real.

That's why I love Kickstarter, my game won't die if I don't make the goals. It will just end up being something more homemade and more limited in scope.

As far as promo, yes, we have a campaign in place. Who knows, you may end up seeing one of our facebook adds if you are: ages 15-45, live on earth, and have an interest in UFOs and video games :P

We're documenting the whole kickstarter campaign so we can make a debrief video afterwards, whichever way it goes. There is always something to learn.

If anything, simply starting the campaign forced me to really solidify a lot of aspects about the game. So, that is a big plus already.

    :)

  • Fun idea.

When I first started playing, I tried creeping on people to see if I'd annoy them (with my stench?) lol

I think it's a cool idea. You could take it a lot of different ways.

    My first impressions were:

You could include pan handling mechanics. Various signage with varying returns. Google will have a lot of fodder for sign ideas.

Street performing mechanics. Find enough money, buy that pawn guitar, start leveling up your skills for cash.

The robbing and suing aspects are hilarious. Though, it could have a negative social commentary vibe to it, so, I guess it all depends on how you would present it. But for sure, that is a funny mechanic.

Any other apps out there like this one right now?

  • Super dead post, but thought I'd add my two cents, since I googled the very same question and this thread popped up.

Construct 2's main PRO is that a jack of all trades can quickly produce a finished product and export to all major platforms.

A programming pro with a team might be better served with Unity, especially for 3D games or simply wanting higher rez visuals.

To echo previous comments, a games success comes down to how truly novel it is + your Luck variable

  • Thanks Bruno for the reply

I have checked my wifi, and all are connected to the same network

Previously, when I used this function my router only had one wifi network.

My current bugged setup uses a router with two wifi networks: A and B.

All devices are connected to B. (Tried A, no difference)

    Thoughts?

  • This is more of a tech question.

I have successfully used this feature many times.

However, after moving, and adjusting the IP settings and such for the new LAN, no devices can preview! (other than the main computer)

Has anyone encountered this problem? All devices report "The site took too long to respond."

edit: all devices have been used successfully in the past. I am very confused.

This occurred after updating from r227 to r244(?)

Also, the sprite edit tool is not functioning... colors don't display or draw.
