  • The graphics are nice... nothing all that unique, but still nice.

The controls are too loose, though. Does the car slide around so much because the terrain is sand? Will you have more precise control on different maps that have asphalt?

(the game stopped progressing once I reached 14 kills... but that's intentional, right?)

It's a demo so I shouldn't nitpick too much, since the whole point of a demo is just to give a basic idea of what the final product will be.

    Good luck!

  • Okay... patience is key.

I was rushing through levels and I would end up dying at the same spots, but once I started to think things out more I did a lot better. I like how the levels are fairly short (so far, at least). Do the later levels have checkpoints or do you have to beat them without dying?

Maybe if the more-skilled players want an extra challenge there could be a timed mode?

  • I've come to the conclusion that I'm not very good at GASMAN...

The game controls very well and some of the effects (like the reflective ice) are particularly nice. It's not unfairly difficult by any means, it just a bit of a "trial and error" game.

Well great work, Karshinkoff! (and thank you for not having a feature that reminds you how many times you have died so far )

  • Okay, Tulanilwe is pretty impressive.

The controls are very awkward, though; and since I'm American and only speak one language it's hard to figure out what I need to do...

But in the technical sense the demo is outstanding.

Good luck with your project, U-Corp!

  • Ummm...

    118 mb?

I'm still going to download it, play it and give my impressions... but why is it so BIG?

(I'm guessing the size comes from the music?)

  • I went with my brother in law and my nieces to see it.

You're over-exaggerating by saying that there was constant singing (the number of songs was average for Disney) but I agree that it was a fun movie. Even though it was CG it had the feeling of a traditional Disney cartoon.

  • ill get you a copy after a week or two if you like when i release it

Cool. Looks like it should be a good challenge.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • Is it a one-hit kill game (for the player)?

Looks like it could be fun. The artwork is nice and I like the distortion effect that you used.

  • I just gave some of the tests another go with Firefox 4.0 Beta 12 and it seems like the framerate has improved a fair bit. Hopefully when the official release of 4.0 is ready it will at least match Chrome's performance.

  • That was fun.

I like the Atari-age art style. I guess Mutant Camels would have had to be on the 5200 or 7800, though... the 2600 couldn't handle that many objects without massive flickering.

Well, if this is your first Construct project then I'll definitely be looking forward to any new projects that you might think up.

  • I'm using XP so I can't test IE 9, but Chrome is definitely faster than Firefox and Opera (Firefox and Opera perform almost identically).

  • Interesting game mechanic. I wonder if it would be easier or more difficult to play with another person.

...you might not want to mention Moe to the NAACP.

  • For some reason I can hear the music and the tone that tells you what the keycode is, but when I enter the numbers I can't hear what sound they make. Does anyone else have this problem?

    I like the artwork, though.

  • Very impressive!

It might be that my keyboard can't register three keys being pressed at the same time, but can you dash jump off of the walls? That's about the only thing that I can think of that is missing.

(your English is great, don't worry about it)

  • Could you upload your demo to a different site? For some reason Filefront is ridiculously slow (starts at 25-30kps and quickly drops down to 2-3).

I've had good luck with dropbox.
