  • I have a mine shaft that I am wanting to put behind a door so that I can keep the mine shaft itself as merely a background graphic and have the door to shaft become a warp point so that the character can walk inside that door and appear at another location. But I cannot get the door to appear on the outside of the mine because no matter how much I tell it to bring to front or bring forward it doesn't??? Help anyone?

  • I've been working on a test sample game to get a better hang of construct before I get the real project moving. But I'm having an issue. Construct wouldn't let me copy/paste anymore objects on the screen last night. Actually nothing would happen. I did everything correct and it should have pasted the dirt blocks so that I could move them to where I wanted them but it wouldn't show the blocks after supposedly pasting them anymore? So does construct have it's limits on object or sprite amounts or something?

I believe the size of my layout was something close to 2000 x 3000 if that helps....

    Anyone have any ideas here?

I wasn't going to the site to do missionary work on the contrary I asked some very valid questions and mentioned my interest in both engines for my team, but wanted to see what there responses would be regarding MMF2 in comparison relating to features and other things...like will MMF2 have this or that basically? Everything I asked was pretty innocent so that is why I said that they must really hate Scirra (Construct). Because they didn't even answer me in a personal message as a potential customer but instead just deleted my post and cut me off! Bad Customer Service I would say there!

And frankly I need suggestions, because this list could be much better.

  • well I ask because this is my first game EVER! Thanks all!

  • Thank you everyone, I appreciate the advice and the links and I wouldn't want anyone elses source code. It's nice if you have the basic mechanics set up to build a game from, but that second link Yarf sent will do just fine after looking it over, thanks again!

I posted a similar thread on clickteams site to see there response and they just deleted it once they took notice and then sent me this mail.

I was actually considering getting the developers edition on monday and I have the idea to make the same game in both in order to see how they each respectfully do! But this is the response when I mentioned construct in their forums!

    Below is their response to my post;

Due to some issues with the developers behind construct we don't allow posts concerning their product in our forums.

Sorry and thanks for your understanding.

  • Does anyone have any helpful game building frameworks that will help me and my team complete some games much faster!

Currently am working on 2D platform and 3D adventure game...

If anyone has any Game Building Frameworks,

Please list them here with the link...that would VERY much Appreciated, Thanks All!

  • they are charging $300 for that kit alone it's crazy! I don't have torque but I was considering trying it out, but not if I will have to buy each kit in order to have game specific features built in...! That is where Construct and MMF2 I realize are way better! The only thing is if someone out there could create a game to give to the community with decent graphics and the specific game mechanics built in like the Adventure game on torque, SO MANY people would benefit if there was! hint hint anyone out there with enough smarts and ability to pull it off~?! If your out there the Constructor Community is rooting for you! :)

Well I can only hope I guess!

  • nice thank you for that link, I think I'm going to buy it so I will tell you if it's any good, thanks

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • I am considering making my sprites all within photoshop with brushes and effects. so for instance with a photo of a car on the side of the road, I would make the glass fly, add fire, etc. and after making each individual thread tie the pictures together with the animator and turn it into a live action (realistic looking) sprite?! Just wondering if this has been done before and any helpful suggestions, comments, or helpful links would be appreciated! Thanks!

  • Just wondering if there is something like this 3D Action Adventure Kit that torque has to help someone create a game like this more easily within construct? Here is the link...

  • Thank you for the advice Quazi-I really do appreciate it!

I am a learning game developer and So I really appreciate any help offered right now, I have a little bit of a learning curve here on the game front, thanks again!

  • They are all different sizes, Is there a size limit that I should stay within?
