  • wow now this is a nice engine and it's open source/free I bet Ashley could incorporate some of it's features into Construct 2 down the road...looks good to make games like the classic legend of zelda....

    Here's the link enjoy!

  • Looks like another html5 ready game engine (Impactjs) this guy is asking $99 for it though. Currently not convinced it's that good, from the little I saw Construct 2 still looks much better. I still like to look every once in awhile and see what else is out there and what others are doing and here are some of my finds...

Anyway here is the link for all you curious onlookers....

  • you can use a light table to draw all angles of movement and to easily manipulate your drawings. Here is a video on how to create your own light box. I made mine (portable) because I used an old scanner. it cost me around $10 at home depot and then of course destruction of the old scanner I never used, time and effort, etc. !

This video was my inspiration and I hope it helps!

  • Is there a chance that this new Facebook plugin feature will work to tie games into ANY social network?

My team and I are building our own social network and would like this feature tied into our own, is this possible? If not how can it be done?

  • Hey,

While I believe that construct 2 could make an awesome website builder as well as game builder down the road, in the meantime I highly recommend this product for those who want an easy to use all in one website building program developed by people who originally worked on Adobe creative suite and so the format and style of the program work very similarly. But it is all drag and drop, I've had great success building professional websites with this and thought that I would share this with all of you....enjoy!

  • Built in Website specific tools Would make construct 2 a more versatile tool and attract a much larger group of people who would purchase it! I know web development is not its main or intended purpose but never the less it would be Awesome to see more web features added to Construct 2, possibly it's own web features button on the top, just a suggestion and I anticipate the future of all construct 2 will have to offer! ;P

  • haha

I donated $5 and got the whole thing...personally I didn't have the frozenbyte bundle so I got a bunch of games, so I suppose it was a better deal for me then for some! ;)

  • yeah I just found the question button on top right that opens up this information...lol

    Thanks anyways

  • I was looking to make sure that the proper version of construct 2 was installed correctly, but it would be nice if within the welcome screen of construct 2 if the construct 2 version number could appear up to the left near the logo somewhere-example (* V.60, or v.1.3, etc.), this would just be a general helpful feature to include in future releases so that no one has to look deeper to find this information out. So just update the version number on the main page with each update as well, hopefully this isn't a difficult request...thanks!

  • Just wondering, but I've read posts that seem to contradict each other??? Is there a plan to EVER make a .exe exporter for Construct 2?

If a person wants to build a game in construct 2 to sell on Steam as an Indie game then a .exe exporter is essential and one feature I am hoping and waiting for before I delve too deep into construct 2. You all are doing an awesome job building construct 2, but if it won't have a .exe exporter then its use will be limited too much for me and I will have to look elsewhere for an html 5 engine that will be able to accomplish this as well. I bought a license to support the work that is being done but after reading various posts I'm wondering if I wasted my money or not?! One post said that you were, while another post could make one think that you have no intention of EVER making one and instead will wait for an independent developer to make one as a plugin that you would have to purchase separately?!

I look forward to your responses, thank you.....

    Love these deals, enjoy! ;)

  • well my suggestion was that someone on the Scirra Team could make graphics for a similar game that could be part of the graphics pack, thats all! So not those particular graphics but something similar would be cool!
