  • Don't forget everybody that BLENDER is ALWAYS FREE and you can find lots of meshes and tutorials online, it's very powerful software as well. Here is a link if anyone would like to purchase a tutorial on how to mesh in blender, this is pretty incredible software for being free, anyway just wanted to pass on the info! Because not everyone can afford the expensive models that DAZ sells in this hard hit economy, which is really how DAZ makes there money. Anyway so hopefully those of you out there will also be better off if you learn Blender because it also does MUCH MUCH more then DAZ and could open many more doors for you as well if you have this knowledge! Have Fun, Later All....

  • Wow, this is Awesome! Thank you! :)

  • yeah this would be a NICE and WELCOME edition! I'd love to hear this answer as well???

  • Hey Scirra Team,

I've read some posts back in November where Ashley even agreed that eventually more editing features would be nice but he felt it was more important to first prioritize families and other features that seemed to take more presidence at that moment. While I agreed with the action at the time, now looking into the subject again with ALL the MANY updates constantly being applied do you think a few geared towards improving tile map editing could be done. It would be nice to stream line games and with this for instance tower defence games could be made in minutes with a more improved system that is. It would really be nice to see some added tile map editing features! I personally would like to see a feature where I could place my graphics and then go over them labeling them solid, etc. I am sure that I am not the only person would would like to see more advanced tile map feature support even beyond what I mentioned.

    Anyways just a friendly thought,

Have a great day and keep up the awesome work guys!

  • Is this game complete yet? If so I would LOVE to purchase the final product especially for my iphone but also for the desktop....if anyone knows the status of this work please let me know....also if it was made free where can I get the final product?

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • I don't know if any of you have thought of this yet...

but how about a tip window or suggestion box for all the noobs who use this software or are still learning it.

    For instance...

When you click on window size maybe it can give you options for ideal screen size for monitors, iphones, ipads, etc. This same option that could even have a button to optionally turn this feature on or off could be made to assist new game developers helping them to make the best or most accurate choices for the specific program or game they want to develop. A feature like this would be a huge deal and definately put C2 even higher above similar game engines on the market. Opening C2 up to younger developers and making it even easier to use then it already is.

Basically it just needs a suggestion feature that you can click on the suggestions and it will pre-set it up for you.

Anyways just wanted to pass the thought,

    Have a Great Day!

  • thank you

  • It would be nice to incorporate a complete touch ability for touch screen and iphone games if it's not already made or being worked on it's something that I'd like to see, just wanted to put my two cents in here....

  • This is interesting. But yet the demos they have really are limited without sound, collision, etc. But it would be interesting if someone could make a full game in flashjs and the same game in construct2 and then compare! The main difference I would think would be that flashjs uses actionscript3 within Java whereas construct2 does not. So which language is less heavy and allows the game to process faster? hmmm good question though?!

  • I haven't looked in-depth at it yet. It looked interesting enough and peeked my interest so I thought I would share what I had found the other day with everyone. It will be interesting to hear other responses regarding that engine though. You have definitely peeked my curiosity again, I didn't know this so I will have to take a closer look at it when I have time to do so. Thanks for the response I will have to look into that.

  • Blender will do what you want to do, but it is pretty complex. Sometimes you can find a free class at strange places though. Where I just moved from our local YMCA had computer classes for kids and adults- one was a class specifically for making games in blender....so you might look around, you never know what you may find near your area...

  • I love Construct 1 and 2 but it never hurts to see what the competition is doing.... Besides Ashley and the Construct gang may not be aware of certain progresses others are making and I think it's never a bad thing to review others that will also keep them on their toes. Also the more various things mentioned here it will increase the probabilities of Construct coming up in peoples searches of similar engines...so don't get me wrong guys I paid for a construct license and like the work they are doing. But as with any business if Ashley and the gang happen to get relaxed and others beat them to the punch created a much better product as a consumer I would have to consider changing products that is unless the Scirra Team keep on top of things which it currently looks like they are working hard to do. Great Work again Scirra Team and a great product, looking forward to more future updates! also Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! :P
