Just my opinion, though. Cue someone to come in here and defend Windows XP until the cows come home, I guess.
It's funny you know, people said the same stuff when Vista came out. And guess what, Vista's dead, and just under 30% of (daily utilised) internet linked computers still use XP. Windows XP will last another 2 or 3 years yet, by which time Windows 7 will be dead. So you could ask, why are you touching Win7, it's dead and buried.
[quote:2ob6fqzk]There are so many basic things that Windows XP cannot even do that it boggles the mind why people still even use it.
AS a XP user, there's not a single important program I've come across which doesn't run on it. XP can run newer programs. Yet Win7 has all sorts of capacity troubles with all sorts of programs (And Win7 backwards capability is a fail). There are so many useful programs Win7 can't use, it boggles my mind why people have ever used it.
See, there are two sides to the coin, and attempting to ground off the face of one side is grudging without sense. While there's a significant proportion of the market still using any system, it's beneficial to tap into that market. When there isn't, only then is it dead.
