    > And honestly I've had C2 crash on me a number of times where I lost work..

That would be because you haven't realised that C2 makes automatic backups that you can retrieve.

[edit: You can find the automatic backups in the same folder as the main game files, you just rename the end extension to get it active]

Btw, on topic, I haven't decided whether to migrate to another product, it's up for strong consideration.

  • Resolved. What I did, was find an old version of the project, imported a bunch of files into the C:/user temp directory, and then opened the project from their C:/user temp directory.

  • (note: image upload & search in forum doesn't seem to be working)

    I have a message:

    Quote: 'Failed to open project"

Quote: "Cannot find object texture file 'tiledBackground2global.png' in the project texture folder. Check the file has not been renamed or removed."

Is there a way to fix this, or at least retrieve the information needed?

  • Does C3 allow you to export projects as a non-browser game on people's PCs, and allow players to add their custom graphics into the game?

  • If you have player profile pics, is there a way a player can add their own profile pics into the game (doesn't seem to be a tutorial on this)

I don't know why people claim GDevelop is an alternative, it simply isn't in the league. And unless my memory is faulty, Stencyl isn't up there either. So why are they being mentioned?

GameMaker would be (personally I don't like that company-but anyway), or the next version of Clickteam, but why are people suggesting a step backwards as an alternative.

(Btw: I'm not a fan of the change [I do understand it though] - and won't buy C3, but lets not pub talk these topics)

  • I notice the C3 array tool, which looks like a spreadsheet. Is there any C2 plugins that allows for arrays to be done in this manner (or similar)?

  • Singular, one-off payments are ultimately damaging for long term businesses that do not release cyclical paid versions or cut their main product up into modules.

Actually, you'll find that these types of game designers make most of their money off those who get a rush of an idea, buy the product, run into a dead stop, and abandon their idea for something else. Don't know the stats, but I suspect that the dropout rate is high, and most wouldn't be around 12 months after buying a game designer product (from any company).

Any chance a thread such as this can be deleted?

  • The main character is a 35 years old guy trying to lose his virginity.

Sex is a normal thing, and children are looking for it in porntube.

You arrive to the end and you "make love" or you die in the way.

In other words, it is some type of porn thing.

  • The name doesn't inspire me. Is it supposed to be some porn thing or something?

  • Update

Try updating this behavior again, the newline bug had been fixed.

But the space between each word works fine, do I misunderstand "it misses a space at around every line of text", can you paste the bug by a snapshot?

The bugfix also fixed the missing spaces

Could you provide a test capx for this case?

  • I tried your text scrolling plugin [percentage scrolling] (because it was the only text scrolling script I could understand), and either I've made a mistake, or it can't handle larger volumes of text. I can't get it to recognise the & newline commands, and it misses a space at around every line of text.

Was hoping to find out whether it's my error, or plugin error.

  • I've tried multiple visual editors that offer HTML5 and Native (eg Stencyl, MMF2.5, Godot etc.) and I find that none of them do everything well.

Stencyl is hardly a product that provides a fair comparison.

It's like taking a Lamborghini, comparing it to a Datson 720, and then proclaiming the Lam to be the best sport's car ever.

A fair evaluation is judging the product against it's true competitors (Gamemaker, etc).

(FTR: Both YOYO Games and their product is too unfriendly for my liking)
