car top down physics

been a while since I used construct, they did not have decent top down car physics last time I checked.

do the newer versions have this? Before you could not really make a top down car game. Has this changed?

yes they have it...if you look at the behaviours, you´ll find a top down car behaviour!

Yes but the driving behavior was a joke, it hardly had realistic physics. you just drove forward, or backwards, no skidding, no realistic collisions, which is really lame because they have the physics in this program to do so.

Well, If you know how to tweak it you can make skid and stuff or drift etc. there is also a 3rd party car physics plugin for top down and side view car physics. Its a pain to tweak, but it does work well once you get it working. you can find it, There is also a tutorial in the tutorial section on how to use it I believe.

??? I don´t get the point. The normal car behavior has so many things to tweak! Clicked around a little and got good physics after a few minutes.

Is this a C2 game, or have you just linked to a clip of random game?

It´s C2, one of the major projects here...search for it!

I downloaded the plugin from that site and put it in the plugins folder in its own folder.

unable to locate pluginc:\program files\construct 2\html5\plugins\car physics\': Found'getpluginsetings

global, but is not a function

the plugin will not be available in the editor

BTW. I have not used construct 2 for over a year, so if there is something basic I am forgetting to do?

This issue is caused by it not being placed in the correct folder, It must be placed in the Behavior folder since it acts as a behavior an not a plugin for Construct 2.
