  • How can I stall your plugin?

  • Humm, let me take a look :)

  • Basically is a platform game that I'm working on it. ( arc-gen.com/games/work-in-progress-game ) Now I'm trying to improve the camera and implement a 2 players mode (maybe 4 players).

The idea is to have 2 or more players on screen; They can't be too far from each other or even leave the screen (there will be a maximum far limit between them; The camera will be always between the players; Sometimes there will be auto scrolls levels that the camera will just move without the players influence. It's basically this.

I'll try to implement your way now. Right now I'm trying to do it on a independent project just to test the gameplay. If it works, I'll put it on the game ;)

  • Sosensible - The scroll behavior doesn't work on 2 actors at the same time. It is following the P1, but not the P2. The rope style and Zoom could work, but how can I make it? I couldn't find any zoom option on C2 so far.

ArcaEd - It would be perfect! Especially if I can control the invisible sprite on tracks or doing auto scrolls sometimes. Could you help me how to make it? I don't know how could I make the comparison between the characters.

  • Hello everyone,

Is it possible to have a camera that follows 2 or more players? Are there a good solution to work on it? Maybe a camera that follow something between the character to maintain it in the middle of the screen. Any suggestions?

    Thank you

  • It is. I have 2 partition on the same computer, one with linux 32 bit and another with Win7. My old test computer is a Centrino duo and the GPU is a old Nvidia. But the difference between systems is at least 10 FPS. It's ok.

I just realized why they don't port the games for Linux. It's difficult to work with this messy graphic card thing.

On the win8/i7 computer and Macbook pro is running very well. Do you know why it has problems on old OSX?

  • Thanks Ashley! That is what I did and Worked :) But just in one partition, on another just doesn't work. But maybe it's a Ubuntu issue, I don't know. I just installed the Ubuntu on another machine to test the game. 32 and 64 bit is working :)

The game is running on Ubuntu, but not so good as the Windows version. The performance lost more or less 10 FPS.

On OSX it's working on the 10.7.4 (One year old Macbook pro) with the same windows 8 performance. It's perfect. But on the OSX 10.6.8 (quite old Macbook white) is not working at all. The game just doesn't open. Any idea?

    Thank you!

  • Hello,

I'm trying to export the game using Node-Webkit for Linux. It exports, but the version just doesn't work. I'm using Ubuntu and when I click on the file it shows a message and the game doesn't start. I'm not a Linux user and I don't have any idea what to do. Is there anything else to do after export the game? I'm just exporting on windows, copying files to the Linux computer and clicking on the game file. Probably there is something more to do, I don't know. Any ideas?

  • Yes, it could be the problem :)

  • But the layers are to complete the parallax visual.

  • Hello everyone,

My game is working well on PC, but I have some performance issues. The game contains:

    • 5 BG layers + main layer + hud layer (7 layers)
    • Enemies using the platform behavior
    • Running on 1280x720
    • Using tilemap
    • Character animations have around 10 frames

In some scenes the game reaches 30 FPS, but sometimes it drops for 20, 14 or even less. Sometimes the game just freeze for a second (0 fps) and back to normal after this. My goal is maintain the 30 FPS all the time. Any ideas what can I do to do it? Any performance tips to improve the FPS?

    Thank you

  • Hello everyone,

Last month I had the opportunity to see the Game Stick working at AMAZE indie connect in Berlin. They are working only with some selected developers at moment, but they will open for more devs very soon. I would like to know if there is anyone using C2 on it right now and of course if its possible. Since it is an android based console, like Ouya, I think C2 could work on it. At least I hope so :)

What about Ouya? Is there any C2 game working on it or any other android based console? Are the performance limitation the same as Android devices? Is it working fine? Is there any limitations/restrictions?

    Thank you.

  • It was awesome! People like the game so far :)

  • By the way, I'm going now for an Indie dev meeting in a bar here in Berlin. I'll have the game with me to collect some feedback. :) If someone is in Berlin, It will be in the Druide Bar on Karl Marx Allee near the Computerspielemuseum. I'll take some pictures to post later on the game blog :D.

  • Nops. I used a different engine that time. Now I'm thinking of porting the game for mobile using Construct 2. :) Depends on the performance, but the game is very simple and light. Would have no problem I guess.
