  • I tested the game using the Construct 2 profiler debugger mode using Firefox as browser. It didn't freeze at all. Of course the performance isn't as good as the exe version, but at least there is no freeze.

  • Guys, I have the same problem here. I tried different browsers/setups, some of them freeze less than others, but it still freezing. Using Chrome or Node-webkit on preview, or running the exported game on a Mac computer using Node-webkit, works very well and doesn't freeze at all. I think it is a problem on the windows exporter. I tried all the browser setups and I think that the freeze happens more often on IE and Firefox, but it still happening less often on Chrome.

Did you guys find a solution so far?

    Thanks!

  • Ashley, the freeze that I told you is exact the same in the Katala 's game. I noticed that the engine also have a memory leak and it could have something to do about it.

Katala did you fix it? I tried many things, but the freezing is still there.

  • Hello everyone,

I'm trying to figure out how can I create a map controller like Super Mario World. It needs to have a 4 ways controller, walks only on the tracks, stops on cross way and when the level isn't available just can't pass.

I'm using the 8 direction behavior, but I couldn't think how I could make it work on that way.

    Thanks

  • Yann and podpathos is it possible to have 4 screens for 4 different players at the same time? It works very well, but I couldn't understand the code.

  • Hello everyone,

I have a platform attached on a chain on the roof. The chain uses the rotate behavior and the platform is following the chain fixed on an image point using the "every tick" block. The platform has the "Jumpthru" behavior (I also tested the "Solid" behavior). The problem is, when the player (using the platform behavior) is on the platform, I can't jump. The jump just doesn't work when the player is on the platform in movement. Do you guys have any idea why?

    Thanks

  • Hey guys,

I did some tests on Spriter + C2 and I'm really happy with the results. I can't just use it on my game right now, but at least I tested the normal Spriter system to have nicer animations frame by frame in the game. Next project I'll use it for sure.

You can check an idle animation using Spriter and C2 that I made. There are some bugs on the animation because the drawn wasn't prepared for it. It was just a fanart/illustration that I made a quite long ago and I adapted to work with bones and modular animation.

  • Humm! looks like it's working :D hehehe! Thanks man!

Are you using it in your game?

  • lucid , maybe I'm using it in a wrong way based on the normal sprite system. Per example. I have a character using the platform behavior. Can I have different spriter animations to use when the player moves, jumps, just stay on idle and things like that? How can I trigger the animations using the platform behavior? Is it possible? Do I need to have 1 spriter animation for character animation or I can animate the same spriter file to have many animations? (based on the monster example, it has just one animation. Is it possible to attach the hole animation in a single boundbox to use the platform behavior on the boundbox and the spriter animations attached on it?

Probably you have a better way to solve it. I just Want to know how can I use the spriter animations well using the platform behavior.

  • lucid is it possible to have an animation manager? (as the normal sprite) I just saw how to add behaviors and things like that to the animation using the object type, but to use it as a character I have to have a animation manager to change the animations according to the player's input.

    thanks

  • I really like the visual! Looks like we are having a good wave of 8 and 16 bit retro games :) Good work!

  • I would love to know how to draw 8bit pixel art :/ When I see something like this I think "I should try it" :D

Good work! And when you have a playable version tell us :D

  • You guys are doing a very good job! Take your time and when you have something, show it! :D
