6Fix's Forum Posts

  • I have a wonderful life thanks, and make more money than you ever will with a legitimate job.

Using someone's artwork for profit without permission is copyright infringement. All they have to do is report it.

Which is all I have left to say. If your IP was stolen, go report his stuff and be done with it. I'm not going to reply anymore

  • First of all I said "if true," but you are also ignoring the things stolen from the forums.

You sure are quick to defend yourself, being so innocent.

  • The GPL states you are required to include it if you are going to sell it. I wouldn't care if you had done at least that, but there is still the issue of the peoples work you stole from the forums.

  • #6Fix

So you must know a lot about me and my sales then.

    My god, how sick!

Only what's in this thread. Someone here was suckered by your garbage and said that the source wasn't there. You broke GPL if true.

On a side note, it won't take many reports to get his account shut down, so we're off to a good start.

  • Fact of the matter is, if he did not include the source, he broke the GPL. He also broke any copyrights where permission was not given for a game or artwork that was posted.

    Need to rethink your scam.

  • Copyright is made at the moment of creation, whether the person lists it or not. The only case where it is not copy-written, is if the creator says that it isn't and gives permission to use.

You just haven't been caught over the last few years.

  • Maybe Ashley should clone his clone and sell it for a penny cheaper ...

... just to piss him off.

  • Can't you just drag the frames to the order they should be in? Shouldn't be too hard if you don't have a ton of frames.

  • You're fired.

  • There are some game's that won't work in complete 2D, I don't know and I even doubt that Construct will create a third person shooter like the famous Tomb Raider series but I hope it will atleast create a 2D 3D platformer like Megaman X7/8

Construct is just not the right tool for such a game as Tomb Raider then, but I would argue you can make a compelling version of it in 2D.

  • No. They use whatever cheap version they find at the computer shop or their old gamepad from 5 years ago.

Perhaps but I've seen statistics from 2009 that suggests otherwise. It doesn't matter though, I am not saying there shouldn't be support for them ... it's a matter of priority. There are plenty of things that should be improved or added first, or at least the plugin should be handled by someone externally so that Ashley/David can focus on bigger things!

On a side note, I am going to say nothing of joysticks

6fix - I must have misunderstood you then. I thought you meant that as though C2 is supposed to not be meant as mainly a 2D program. Sorry about that.

No problem! Sorry if I wasn't clear enough. I don't even want a fully 3D construct. I hope we never lose 2D, on any platform.

  • This is definitely not where I parked my car ...

  • My reasoning is every bit as good as any in this thread. That is to say, it's an opinion. It is a fact however, that gamepads are not widely used on PC's.

Please re-read what I said about 3D. It pretty well fits with what you said... so I think maybe you misinterpreted it. I think if anything is added it should be saved for a Construct 2 for the primary reason you listed, and that doesn't mean I think Construct 2 should be a full-3D product either.

So again, not sure really what you are referring to because it seems like we're on the same page.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Well, you make it sound like I said it shouldn't be added ... I said perhaps down the road? I just don't believe it needs to be near the top of list.

Also, a vast majority of people who use gamepad right now, actually do use a 360 gamepad. A windows specific version was even released by Microsoft.

  • Online: This is something that is indeed needed at some-point.

3D: I don't think much more is needed than what is already there. Perhaps more primitives for the 3D Box but really, Construct is supposed to be a 2D program, so loading fully animated models should be saved for a Construct 2. I do hope mesh distortion is continually supported however, as that has many practical uses in 2D.

Export: I can understand a Mac export feature, but I don't really think it's a huge factor. Macs are generally used for creative purposes and not gaming, despite some changes over the years to make that aspect easier.

Gamepad: This is more of a novelty I think. Most people don't use a gamepad, despite what you might like to believe. Perhaps down the road?

    My 4 cents.
